Ch-1(Intergers)
In this chapter we have learnt a lot of things like
addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of
integer. For example :- -5-(-8) this is equal to +3.
And we learnt to place the numbers on a number line.
Ch-2(Expressions, formulae and equations)
In this chapter we have learnt, to solve equation, construct
equations and expressions, difference between equations and
expressions and about variables. For example:- 5x - 4y this is
expression, because it does not have an equal have symbol with
the simplified answer in the sentence.
Ch-3 (place values and rounding)
In this chapter we have learnt multiplying and
dividing by powers of 10 and rounding to the
particular decimal point. For example:- 3 X
105 = (3 X 100,000 ) = 300,000 and Round
this number 4.5678557 to 2 decimal place
that is 4.57.
Ch-4(Decimals)
In this chapter we have learnt about the
decimals,ordering decimals, operation of decimals,
like addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
and also how to make hard calculations more
easier to solve. For example:- 4.2 + 2.2= 6.4 , 3.1
X 1 = 3.1, 2.4 - 1.8=0.6, 2.2 / 2=1.1
Ch-5 Angles and constructions
In this chapter we have learnt about the angles names,
constructing the angles, finding the missing angles and about
different types of lines. For example:- paracute angle,
obtuse angle, etc. If one angle is 40, another is 90 find the
missing angle in a triangle. That is
180-(40+90)=50.
Ch-6 Collecting data
In this chapter we have learnt about the data types,
understanding the data by the phrases and taking a
survey. For example:- The height of a person that is
continuous data, number of apple in a basket that is
discrete data, name of the cars in the parking area
that is categorical data.
Ch-7 Fractions
In this chapter we have learnt about
the ordering the fractions, operations
of fractions and how to make the hard
calculations easier to solve. For
example:- ½ + ¾ = 11/4
Ch-8 Shapes and symmetry
In this chapter we have learnt about the 2d and 3d
shapes, how to make a symmetrical line to a shape,
parts of a circle, about other shapes like pentagon,
hexagon, octagon, etc; understanding the congruent
shapes and sides of two objects and face of 3d shapes
like front side, top side, side view and back side .
Ch-9 Sequences and functions
In this chapter we have learnt about the
sequences, generating the sequence,how to find
term to term rule, how to find next term and
how to use nth term. For example:-
1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17,19,... find the next term.
The term to term rule is add 2 , so 19 + 2= 21
the next number or term is 21.
Ch-10 percentages
In this chapter we have learnt about the
percentage, how to find percentage by
fractions, how to find percentage by decimals.
For example:- ½ X 100= 50%, 0.5 = 5/10 , 5/10
X 100 = 50%
Ch-11 Graphs
In this chapter we have learnt about the how
to make the line graph, how to find the missing
y or x coordinates and draw a graph, how to
draw a graph by using the function
(expressions like y = 2x), how to draw the
parallel line on a graph, how to interpret the
data from the graph.
Ch-12-Ratio and proportion
Yes,you heard it right ratio and
proportion ok i may say this was the one of
the easiest chapter in the whole book.and this
chapter we had a lot of activities.we also
learnt how to simplify ratio and what is
proportion and many more like sharing a ratio
and using direct proprotion
Ch-13-Probability
In this chapter we learnt about
the probability scale,Experimental
probability and many more this
chapter had only three topics and
was very interesting and good to
learn.
Ch-14-Position and Transformation
In this chapter we have learnt about the images and
transformation of the images.

• The reflection of the image


• Rotation of the images
• Enlarging images
• Distance between the points
15 Ch Shapes,area and volume
In this chapter we have learnt about:
• Converting the units
• How to find area, perimeter and
volume
• And using hectares
16 Ch. Interpreting results
In this chapter we learnt about:
• Two way tables
• Dual and compound bar charts
• pie charts and waffle diagram
• what are infographics
• Representing data
• Using statistics
