本⽉單字重點：這些字在考題中的字義和你背的不⼀樣 *多益愛考基礎字彙(A1-B1)的進階字義
，⽽非艱澀的⾼級字彙(C1-C2)。

1. carry 你背過的字義：(v.) 攜帶；搬運；載｜考題中的字義：(v.) 賣；販售

e.g. We offer assorted sizes of inexpensive plastic stays, and we also carry deluxe
brass and stainless-steel stays that will last a lifetime.
我們提供各種尺⼨的平價塑膠領撐，同時也有賣⾼級的黃銅和不銹鋼製領撐，
這些都能終⽣使⽤。
*stay指的是collar stay(衣領的⽀撐片)，⽤於保持衣領的形狀，使其不會變形。

2. bear 你背過的字義：(v.) 忍受；帶有｜考題中的字義：(v.) 承擔

e.g. We will bear 60% of the costs, while the remainder will be borne by the
city government.
我們將承擔百分之六⼗的費⽤，其餘的則由市政府承擔。

3. finish 你背過的字義：(v.) 完成｜考題中的字義：(n.) 物品表⾯的狀況

e.g. Many clients love a hardwood’s rich colors and textures.They look good with

1. 表⽰『要...⽽不是...』，可放①開頭②句中。

➜ 也可作為『介系詞』⽤，接續名詞結構

2. 可搭配would或prefer to使⽤，此時rather than皆為『連接詞』。

鎖定『訊號字』後，直接從『空格前』的句⼦找尋對應線索。

1. 代名詞(e.g. this, that, they, them, it, etc.)

➜ 找空格前的具體名詞 *注意單複數

2. 轉承詞(e.g. however, in addition, also, etc.)

➜ 判斷各空格前的句⼦是正⾯還負⾯

3. 其他特定單字(e.g. both, either, neither, etc.)
