Course Objectives • To teach the different analog and digital linear and non-linear
modulation and demodulation techniques that are common to
many communication systems.
1. Overview of Communication Systems
• Basic principles of communication systems,
• Communications system diagram,
• Frequency domain analysis of signals,
• Base band transmission techniques.
2. Analogue Modulation Techniques

● Introduction to modulation techniques,


● Linear (Amplitude)modulation techniques, AM, DSB,
SSB, VSB,
● Application of amplitude modulation,
