Occupational Safety:

 Actively involved in inspection and maintenance of all personal protective, firefighting and safety equipment to
ensure workplace safety and avoid any hazards.

Job Responsibilities: -

 Ensuring the strict implementation of Project Health Safety and Environmental Plan.
 Ensuring strict implementation of client safety standards and procedures at work site.
 Imparting Safety induction training for new employees as per Client’s/Company’s safety procedures.
 Conducting regular tool box meeting for the workforce to ensure all safety standards are met with.
 Organize and conduct HSE training programmes.
 Training of personnel for use of firefighting equipment’s, Occupational health, emergency procedures, etc.
 Examining all hot work activities carried out at site.
 Preparing monthly reports for client and consultants.
 Ensuring proper implementation of Project HSE plan by Sub contractors.
 Promote safe execution of work on site and provide safety briefings to all staff and workers.
 Investigate all accidents/incidents/near misses and make meaningful recommendations to improve
safety standards.
 Monitoring observance of site safety rules and issue warnings to workers, work supervisors, site
engineers and subcontractors for rectification purposes, in cases of non-compliances and unsatisfactory
safety performant

Total monitoring and analysis of ambient air and stack monitoring, parameter like SPM, PM, and Gaseous
parameter likes SO2, NOX, HCl, Cl2, H2S, etc. Involved in complete water and waste water analysis for the
parameters like pH, COD, BOD, Temp., TSS, TDS, TS, Chlorides, Oil & Grease and colour, sulphates, ammoniacal
nitrogen, phenolic compounds using spectrophotometer.
Operation, Maintenance & Cleaning of 270 kl capacity of ETP plant.

JOB PRPFILE
FIRE
 To create awareness on fire prevention practice to all the employees by giving periodic training.
 Giving Induction as well as fire, safety related Teaching and participating in training classes and drills to
all employees (Including contractor workmen).
 To Conduct Fire Mock Drill and check the staff awareness.
 Liaison with Local Fire Station/Offices.
 Identify fire Hazards, causes of fire & recommended appropriate action.
 Familiarity with all properties and installations in which fires may have to be fought with particular
attention to target hazards in the Premises;
 Undertake regular testing of fire Detector and VESDA System.
 Inspection, performance Testing & Maintenance of Fire Protection System like Deluge System, Fire
Hydrants/ Monitors, Fire Vehicles, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Fighting Equipmentetc. as per organization
and Factory Guidelines.
 Preventing, Combating and Extinguishing fires with the goal of Protecting lives, the environment and
property.
 Prepare department annual budget plan and ensure the effective utilization of same. Procurement of fire
Safety Equipment as per the standard company guideline.
 Attending Fire, rescue and emergency calls inside of the company.
 Provide technical support for implementing general fire safety policies, area specific fire plans and
measures. Also to develop and Implement Fire Protection Programs & Procedures, health and safety
strategies and internal policy;
 Conduct Fire Safety audit to identify and correct potential hazards. Identify and assess the full range of
foreseeable fire and rescue related risks their areas face, make provision for prevention and protection
activities and respond to incidents appropriately.
 Ensure that all fire and safety equipment in an establishment are in good shape always.
SAFETY
 Supporting the development of EHS policies and programs.
 To pay special attention to unity of command at various levels; Also Effectively managing Fire Fighters,
EHS Staff & maintaining discipline among them.
 In Consultation with HSE head establish, develop & Monitor system required as per ISO 14001 & OSHAS
18001 & ISO 45001 Standard. Prepare and Maintain document for the same.
 Implement & Monitor work permit system, used by all.
 Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
 Providing Advice or suggestions to the employers risk assessment based on your knowledge and
experience.
 Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation & Executes the compliance as per the
statutory requirements.
 Routine observation all Plant- visualization & inspection, Identification and solutions on unsafe act and
Conditions at the site on regular basis- daily plant inspection round
Testing, inspection and records of lifting machine, Foam 9, 10 and 11 as per GFR, pressure vessel,
ventilation, lighting, safe environment etc. verify as per statutory need Informed all types of the test &
inspection and record of all lifting tools & tackles, pressure vessels etc., as per statutory requirement
need.
 Maintain all record related to reportable accident and incident, near miss and potential incident, analysis
of reports & preparation of rout cause analysis
 Conducting the incident investigations, doing its analysis at various angles and on the basis of its outcome
suggesting concern department for CAPA.
 Display of safety awareness banners, posters, instruction board and sop across plant to make work place
safer and happier
 To Advise on plant safety.
 To Advice on the aspect of safety in job studies.
 To advise the concerned departments in planning and organizing measures necessary for the effective
control of personal injuries.
 To check and evaluate the effectiveness of the action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent personal
injuries.
 To advise the purchasing of store departments in ensuring high quality and availability of personal
protective equipment.
 To carry out plant safety inspection in order to observe the physical conditions of work and the work
practices and procedures followed by workers and to render advice on measures to be adopted for
removing the unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers.
 To render advice on matters related to reporting and investigation of industrial accidents and diseases.
 To investigate the dangerous occurrences reportable under rule 103 pf Gujarat Factories Act, 1963 and in
the case of industrial diseases contracted by any of the workers employed in a factory reportable under
rule 104 of Gujarat Factories Rule, 1963.
 To advise on the maintenance of such records, as are necessary relating to accidents, dangerous
occurrences, and industrial diseases.
 To promote setting up of safety committees and act as an adviser and catalyst to such committee
 To Design and contract either independently or in collaboration with the training department suitable
training and educational program for the prevention of personal injuries.
 Make sure that there are well-developed plans for easy evacuation of people in a bulking in the case of a
fire outbreak.
 Address any form of violation of safety codes within the organization. Investigate and implement

HEALTH
 Providing appropriate medical care within their scope of knowledge in emergency situation.
 Day to Day Management of the Occupational Health Centre (OHC) along with the OHC Staff.
 Identification of occ. health hazards at the plant across various shop floors
 Identification of notifiable diseases (is any) as per the schedule II of the Factories Act
 Conduct bi-annual health evaluations of the workforce. Electronic Health Record (EHRs) to be
maintained for all employees
 Maintain medical health records at the OHC
 Conduct health & wellness awareness programs & workshops on various topics - lifestyle diseases,
prevention o occupational health hazards, and importance of using PPEs etc.
 Ergonomics
 Provide emergency care to the employees in case of workplace related injuries, illness and exposure.

 Contributing member for Online Hazardous West Discard & e waste management system and Environment Data Record for
GPCB.
 Developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental management systems to ensure compliance with relevant laws
and regulations.
 Conducting environmental assessments and audits, including air and water quality monitoring, waste management, and soil
