The chart here represents the total number of minutes of telephone call in the UK, divided in three

categories, which are local fixed line, National and International fixed line and mobiles from the year
1995-2002.

From the year, 1995-2002 the number of minutes were increased in Local fixed line from 5 million to 50
million. The number of minutes of National and International Fixed line were also increased from 40
billion to 70 billion. The minutes from mobiles were almost constant and we can see very minute
fluctuations in it of approximately 1-10 billions.

Firstly, in the year 1995-2002, people were using mobiles very much and almost 70 billion people use
mobile for calls. Very few people use Local fixed line in 1995, then some more people have adapted this
route for calls and there is growth of 50 billion minutes in 2002.

Additionally, the minutes of people using mobiles for calls have increased from 70 billion to 85 billion in
the year 1995-1999 and then it got decreased back to 70 billion in the year 2002.
