G: Now for the details of the News. Hinunangan Drug Addict Shots Dead. To
give us further details, let’s have Ariel Bacol for the report.
Ariel: Local News
In a tragic turn of events, a man was fatally shot earlier today in Barangay
Ambacon, Hinunangan Southern Leyte. The victim, whose identity is yet to
be disclosed, reportedly succumbed to gunshot wounds inflicted by an
unknown assailant. Initial investigations suggest that the motive behind the
shooting may be linked to illegal drug involvement.
However, shocking revelations from some of the neighbors paint a different
picture. According to them, the victim had a history of engaging in
reprehensible acts, specifically rape. They allege that he was targeted and
killed due to his notorious behavior.
The authorities are currently now conducting a thorough investigation into
the incident to uncover the truth behind the motives and identities
involved in this tragic event. Meanwhile, residents are urged to remain
vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement to ensure the safety and
security of their community.

B: For the National News, Senate Panel Insists on Issuance of Arrest Order
vs Quiboloy. More from the story, we have Janella Matarong.
Janella : National News
The Senate Committee on Women has rejected Apollo Quiboloy’s appeal
and moved to pursue an arrest order against allegations of sexual abuse
and human trafficking within his organization. Sen. Risa Hontiveros,
leading the investigation, insists on Quiboloy’s compliance despite his
objections, deeming his explanations unsatisfactory. Hontiveros
underscores the significance of the hearings in revealing legislative gaps,
including issues around consent in rape cases within religious groups and
the legal status of religious volunteers. Despite Quiboloy’s camp
questioning the Senate’s investigative purposes and claiming due process
violations, Hontiveros clarifies the Senate’s role and cites a 2009 Supreme
Court precedent affirming its authority to conduct inquiries in aid of
legislation. She emphasizes that the Senate lacks the legal power to
determine guilt or violate rights but has the right to require individuals to
testify according to its procedural rules.

There’s no denying the anticipation and excitement everyone felt when

Paulo Avelino and Kim Chiu were revealed as the stars of the VIU Original
Adaptation “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” (WWWSK) in November
2023.

Now that our own version of the hit K-Drama finally premiered last March
18 on VIU, the hype is totally real. As Filipinos can finally stream it for free,
they’re in for one unforgettable and relatable show.

Even before What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim’s premiere, many Filipinos
have already been observing the chemistry between Paulo and Kim. The
two have recently starred together in another online series, which is on the
heavy drama side.
ANCHOR: Given the success of their previous collaboration and the
anticipation surrounding their pairing in ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary
Kim,’ how do Paulo Avelino and Kim Chiu feel about the reception from
Filipino audiences so far?

Paulo Avelino and Kim Chiu are thrilled by the overwhelmingly positive

and excited to see viewers enjoying their chemistry in ‘What’s Wrong With
Secretary Kim.’ Their previous collaboration has set a strong foundation,
and they’re eager to continue delivering memorable performances for their

G: Thanks for the update, Mae.

B: On the other part of the news, Did you know that there is a species of
animal in which both males and females get pregnant? Ate Ann? How true
is this?
Marilli Ann: Ate ANN
“A bit of knowledge: Did you know that there is a species of animal in which
both males and females get pregnant? These are seahorses. According to
National Geographic, they can give birth to up to two thousand babies. In
Greece, some divers were delighted to discover hundreds of seahorses in a
location where none were previously thought to exist. While the surface
water in Aitoliko, Greece appears clean, underneath it is dirty and lacks
oxygen. When it’s windy, the area emits a smell reminiscent of rotten eggs.
Seahorses move slowly compared to other fish, but in one part of the
Aitoliko Lagoon, they found a spot with sufficient oxygen and food. The
divers believe that this area is close to becoming polluted. While one diver
found a solution by relocating seahorses to another location, others believe
that the best solution is to clean the lagoon.

“New knowledge, newly learned, should be explored in the world of nature

and trivia to enrich the mind. This is Ate Ann, learning more, so that life can
improve.”
