Academic Project Handled:

Abstract: Contactless temperature detector and Entrance door opener for Covid Safety
In this project we simulate a room where such necessary precautions are taken. The proposed system is comprised of
two subsystems: namely Temperature Measurement System and automatic door opening system. Temperature
Measurement System consists of Contactless Infrared (IR) Digital Temperature Sensor MLX90614 which automatically
makes a temperature check-up when a person tries to enter the room. If the temperature measured is less than the
set temperature, the person is allowed to enter by automatically opening the door. Otherwise the entry is denied and
warning bell rings to alert others. Crowded environment may also cause the spread of covid 19 virus. To avoid this the
proposed system allows only the predefined number of people into the room using the up counter which is
incremented when the person enters the room and down counter which is decremented when a person leaves the
room to know the number of persons inside the room. Node MCU-ESP826 controls the entire operation of the system.
