Personal Statement
As long as I can remember, I've always been drawn to the healthcare field. I have been
fortunate enough to have a mother who is a Personal Care assistant and growing up, I was
constantly exposed to the medical world. Witnessing my mother's compassion and dedication to
her patient well-being inspired me to pursue a career in healthcare. It was through her work that I
first realized the importance of nursing and the critical role nurses play in providing care.
The human body has always fascinated me. I am intrigued by the way our organs work
together to keep us alive and the different mechanisms that allow us to function. This interest in
the human body, coupled with my desire to help others, led me to pursue a degree in nursing.
As a nurse, I will have the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives. Nursing
is not just a profession; it is a calling. Nurses are the backbone of the healthcare system, and they
play a crucial role in patient care. They are the first point of contact for patients, and they are
