1 Ensure that a valid work order and electrical work permit is prepared for the activity.
Take valid Electrical work permit from authorized authority before starting any PM

activity on the H.T Motor.
Isolate motor control centre as per corporate LOTO procedure before starting PM

4 Clean motor body, fan, fan cover, terminal box, heat exchanger
Open motor terminal box, check with HT line detector, discharge the terminals &

Inspect the condition of power cable for any abnormality, discoloration and looseness
6 Check foundation bolts
7 Check terminal box mounting bolts and earthing of the terminal box
8 Check and tighten the winding and bearing RTD/ PT100/thermistor connection
9 Check terminal plate for cracks
10 Check motor earthing (double earthing on motor body)
11 Check power and control cable for proper glanding and dressing
Check the IR value of winding with 5KV megger if the motor is 11KV or 6.6 KV,
with 2.5 KV for motor less than 6.6 KV till 3.3 KV,500V for motors upto 1.1 K.V

Take winding resistance measure:(WITHOUT REMOVING THE LINKS)

14 Check motor space heater
15 Seal all possible dust entry points with sealant
16 Open local push button station and clean it
Check push button elements for rust, corrosion, tightness of connections & proper

operation.
18 Take trail and record following measurements:

Motor Vibrations:
18.2 DE H: V: A:
NDE H: V: A:

19 Apply the lubricant as per manufacturer's recommendations.(if necessary)
