Model Description
The model depicts the own area of operations/ are we are to operate on.
The Model is made to sketch with each side of the square representing 1000m on
the ground.
The Arrow there points to the general direction of the north.

Ground
The ground is lightly forested, of mangrove type vegetation and interspersed with
rivers, lagoons, vegetation, roads and built up areas.
Observation
The buildings within the general area provides ground observation of about 1-2km
and overwatch through the canalized mobility corridors within the area. At ground
level, observation is limited to 400-600m. Subsequently, poor weather conditions
can limit visibility and observation to 100m.
Fields of Fire
Fields of direct fire for small arms and support weapons at ground level and on
elevated ground is estimated to be about 300m-800m and 1200-1600m
respectively. This is due to the absence of cover.
Cover
Buildings as well as large trees provide cover from fire of flat trajectory weapons.
Concealment
Moreso, the general area offers concealment, from view, to dismounted
troops due to the vegetation this time of the year. Additionally, large rocks and
buildings provide concealment for vehicles from ground observation but could
however not be the case if the enemy has observation posts on hilltops.

The general area is characterized by natural obstacles which offer a degree of
protection to the adversary as well as limit the avenues of approach to the area.
