PART IV.

Documentation of Immersion
Narrative Report

DAY 1
On this day, the team do brainstorm, they give task to everyone, gather information and work
as a group. The group consisted of individuals from diverse backgrounds, brought together to
complete a idea that required effective task delegation and collaboration. Throughout the day,
they focused on assigning tasks appropriately, promoting active participation, and fostering a
cohesive and productive team environment. At the outset of the project, the group engaged in
a thorough analysis to identify the various tasks required for successful completion. They
considered the project's objectives, timeline, and each team member's skills and expertise.
Through open discussion and consensus-building, they assigned tasks by pairs where 1 group
has 3 members, ensuring a balanced workload and aligning tasks with each member's
strengths. Clear roles and responsibilities were established. To ensure effective task
delegation, they prioritized clear and open communication. During these meeting, we
encouraged team members to ask questions, seek clarification, and provide input. This
transparent communication approach helped to avoid misunderstandings and allowed
everyone to have a shared understanding of the project's goals and expectations. Working as a
group, we recognized the value of collaborative decision-making. We encouraged all team
members to actively contribute their ideas and perspectives during task allocation
discussions. Our day involved strategic brainstorming, task delegation, and collaborative
efforts within a diverse team. We prioritized clear communication, ensuring a shared
understanding of goals. In the afternoon we decided to have a meeting for finalizing our
immersion.
It's a great experience to get a conversation to a person who is knowledgeable in his
profession and shares his job to make us aware what job they are doing. Its fun and will
marks us in our mind that great experience and if the comes we can applies it in our future
profession.
DAY 2
On the second day, our group decided to observe the MIS office to understand how they
communicate to their workmates, customer, and their higher ups. When we got to the MIS
office, we greet the staffs and politely asked permission to Dr. Eugene Valeriano to observe
how they do their work. We observe their office, workplace communication, and the work
itself. After an hour Dr. Valeriano gave us a tour at their office where we got to see the data
storage of TAU. After the short tour we decided to observe a bit more but unfortunately there
are no students who came to the MIS at that time, but dr. Eugene tell us the things they do
when they are in their working hour, he said that they are the one who make portals and other
important documents, and told us that MIS is the heart of the university because they are the
one who make important documents and also the data storage was in their office. Dr. Eugene
is very kind and accommodating because he told us all that we need to know about their
workplace and what they do in their working hour, and he don't hesitate to tour us in there.
We feel so welcome to observe in their office, so that after our observation, and then before
we leave, we thank sir Eugene and his co-workers for their help to us to finish our part 2 in
our immersion.
DAY 3
Morning 14th of December we gathered at the study shed in the CBM and go to the college
of education to make an evaluation for teaching staff of the university.
8:00 in the morning we arrived at building of College of Education and evaluate Ma'am
Marianne Villaruel. She is discussing and reviewing her students for their upcoming exam
week and she also give instruction for their term project to be passed after the exam. I can
observe that the teacher is teaching so energetic and I enjoyed their discussion. The
environment is fun and happy including the students is having a good time on how their
teachers teach them. The teacher we observed is an exceptional educator who creates a
dynamic and engaging learning environment for her students. Her passion for teaching,
nurturing nature, effective leadership skills, and dedication to the growth and development of
her students make her an outstanding role model. The children in her classroom are fortunate
to have such a teacher who not only imparts knowledge but also instills a love for learning
and creates a positive and supportive atmosphere for their growth. After the discussion we
ask the teacher to have a photo with us and signed our DTR. We also ask her permission to
make an interview with her next week and she agreed.
DAY 4
After the flag ceremony, our group waited for the other members until everyone has arrived.
We immediately went to the College of Education to go and find Ma'am Marianne so we
could interview her. We had some confusion about the place because when we returned to
room where we observed her, Ma'am Marianne was not there, but luckily, we reached out to
her through messenger and found out that she was in AVR 2 of the College of Education.
While the interview with Ma'am Marian is ongoing, others were writing down Ma'am
Marianne's answers and others were recording the audio so that in case something is missing
we could go back to the information that was not written down by our group members.
