Filipino Composers- deserve to be given due honor
and recognition. It is important to know and
acknowledge their contributions in the field of
music.
Traditional Music Composers
Antonio Molina- His father, a customs inspector,
founded the –piece Orchestra Molina.
-Because of this exposure, he learned to play
numerous instruments, which helped him
understand how music works behind the
scenes.
Lucio Diestro San Pedro- For him, being a
musician was not just a passion but a calling, just
like priesthood.
-As a teenager, he was a church organist,
taking over his grandfather’s job. At that
time, he wrote his first composition.
-Sa Ugoy ng Duyan- Lucio’s first
composition, a heart-warming lullaby and
ode to a mother’s love.
-San pedro’s success was not only of pure
talent and skill but of devotion and a
continuous thirst for musical knowledge.
Rosendo Ejercito Santos, Jr- His story might
prove us all wrong about this thought.
-At the age of 10, he learned music lessons
under Julian Felipe and became the
composer of our National Anthem
-At the age of 11, he was employed as a
music teacher.
-At the age of 12, he planned for one of
Cavite’s top bands
-At the age of 13, he composed marches,
music for Catholic mass, and scores.
-At the age of 14, he was called “one of the
world’s best timpani players.”
-At the age of 15, he gave Hawaii its first-
ever live symphony performance.
Alfredo Santos Buenaventura- When he was in
grade school, he joined a marching band and the
Tiples de Santo Domingo church boys’ choir, which
was given first-class training by Spanish
conductors.
-His compositions, often based on Philippine
history, myths, and legends, use Romantic,
Impressionist, and Contemporary styles.
-Unlike most composers, none of his parents were
musicians. He was just an ordinary kid who fell in
love with music and pursued it.

-Documentation- A photo can serve as proof of
almost anything we value in life. It can document
our norms and practices. It aids us to catch special
moments that, if not documented in time, are lost
for life.
-Communication- a picture paints a thousand
words. It can speak emotions to viewers. Like music
or words, we can communicate through
photographs.
-Digital photography’s high image
resolutions help convey messages more
clearly. This is true when taking pictures of
food, fashion, photography, and travel.
-Food Photography- if a restaurant or culinary
magazine wants a dish to luck yummy, professional
food photographers know what is needed to make it
sell.

studio lights not too soft and not too harsh to
make the food wilt, melt, or sag.
Fashion Photography- a model does not need to
always look at the camera. In fact, the projection of
a person is stronger when looking somewhere else.

Travel Photography- the photographer brings

photojournalists are melodramatic, if not disturbing,
such as death, destruction, chaos, or socio-political

- The main objectives are to end poverty,
protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for
all members of humankind.
