I. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to our discussion post!
Let us introduce ourselves. We come from group 4. Our group includes 6 members.
We are Le Thi Hong, Hoang Thi Khanh Huyen, Nguyen Thi Khanh Huyen, Dinh Viet
Hung, Duong Thi Lan, Tran Thi Lien.
The subject of my presentation is travel and holiday . My presentation will be in 4
parts. There are the importance, types of travel and holiday, planning a travel or
holiday and tips for a safe and enjoyable travel or holiday.
“Life is short, and the world is wide.”
“Live life with no excuses, travel with no regret.”
Traveling and holidays are welcomed and long-awaited to relax. Discovering new
cultures and encountering unfamiliar points of view can feed your curiosity.

II. BODY

A. The importance of travel and holiday

Traveling and taking holidays is not just the best way to temporarily leave work and
daily worries behind, but also a precious chance for us to take care of ourselves, grow
personally, and broaden our view of the world around us.

Firstly, traveling and holidays bring significant benefits to our physical and mental
health. Physically, engaging in outdoor activities like walking, mountain climbing, or
swimming improves cardiovascular health, boosts endurance, and flexibility.
Additionally, travel contributes to mental well-being by reducing stress and providing
relaxation through new experiences, breaking away from the daily grind.

Furthermore, travel opens the door to a vast world, where we have the opportunity to
learn about different cultures, customs, and traditions, thereby expanding our
knowledge and understanding of the world. Learning from the traditions and history of
different cultures not only enriches our life experience but can also inspire creativity
and motivation in both our work and personal lives.

My personal travel story to Phu Quoc is proof of these benefits. Phu Quoc, with its
clear blue beaches, white sand, and unique cuisine, refreshed me physically and
mentally. The tranquility and beauty of nature here also helped me find peace and
reflect on myself, leading to new directions in life and work.

Therefore, traveling and taking holidays play an indispensable role in improving

health, personal growth, and stress reduction. They not only bring joy and beautiful
memories but also help us become the best version of ourselves.

B. Types of travel and holiday

The world is a vast and exciting place, and the way we choose to explore it can vary
greatly. Adventure travel throws you headfirst into thrilling activities like skydiving or
white-water rafting, perfect for adrenaline junkies. Cultural tours immerse you in the
history, traditions, and art of a new land, offering a deeper understanding. Eco-tourism
allows you to connect with nature and support sustainable practices. Family vacations

3
create lasting memories by exploring together, but require planning activities that cater
to all ages. Solo travel fosters independence and self-discovery, but can sometimes feel
isolating.

However, each travel style has its own set of pros and cons. Adventure travel, while
exhilarating, can be physically demanding and potentially risky. Cultural tours may
require flexibility and an open mind to adjust to different customs. Eco-tourism can be
more expensive and involve limited amenities. Solo travel, while empowering, can be
lonely at times and require more planning for safety.

Ultimately, the perfect travel style depends on your preferences and priorities. Do you
crave excitement or tranquility? Do you yearn to learn or unwind? By exploring these
diverse options and weighing their advantages and disadvantages, you can craft the
perfect travel experience to ignite your wanderlust and leave you with unforgettable
memories.

C. Planning a travel or holiday

Setting a budget

Setting a budget is the first way to have a successful holiday. By methods of listing out
costs, you can prioritize essential expenses, like hiring a guide for an outdoor
adventure trip, and cut costs on non-essentials by opting for low-cost lodgings over
pricey hotels. For instance, if accommodations with a pool and umbrella drinks are
non-negotiable, that’s fine too - the point is to decide what expenses to keep and what
to cut.

Choosing a destination
Second, to travel successfully you have to carry out research about your destination by
brainstorming what kind of experience you're looking for - relaxation on a beach
vacation , or seeking adventure in a new place. Besides, you have to look for what
excites you like stunning scenery, vibrant cultures, or historical landmarks…
Therefore, making a list of your ideal destinations, no matter how far-fetched they may

4
seem at first. Once you have a shortlist of destinations, start researching each one in
more detail. Read travel blogs, watch documentaries, and check out travel guides to
get a feel for the place. Consider factors like safety, visa requirements, and local
customs.

Booking flights and accommodation

Third step contributing to the success of the holiday plan is booking flights and
accommodation.
 Decide on the length of the trip First, how long do you want to go away for? Do
you have a lot of time off or are you restricted by a vacation/holiday allowance?
 Check Your Essentials (Passport): Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6
months beyond your travel dates. Check visa requirements for your chosen destination.
 When booking your accommodation you’ll find heaps of different types available.
Such as hotels, hostels, apartments, and various others. Different accommodations can
have different features and benefits. Consider what is the best option.
 You can book flights through the airline website or booking agent. Making
comparison of prices on the airline's website directly and on booking agent websites.

Researching activities and attractions

 Read some reviews about all exciting activities and attractive places on
networking sites
 Think about travel time and budget constraints.

Packing your bags

 Research your destination's weather, activities, and cultural norms. Pack
accordingly - beachwear for a tropical getaway, warm clothes for a cold season, etc.
 Select a suitcase appropriate for your trip duration and travel method.
 Check your packing list and ensure you haven't forgotten anything crucial.
 Leave Space for Souvenirs: Pack with a little extra space in your suitcase to
accommodate any souvenirs you might pick up during your trip.

Dealing with travel anxiety

5
 Planning and preparing carefully: packing efficiently, having a checklist can
ensure you don't forget anything important.
 Keep away from negative things and focus on the positive ones like visualizing
yourself enjoying your trip with fun activities you have planned and the people you'll
be seeing.
 Be sure to take time to rest over the holiday period. You don’t need to be doing
things 24/7. And if you have time off work this is a great opportunity to have a lie-in
and catch up on some extra sleep. Sleep is important for our health as the body repairs
itself when we rest. Not sleeping for long enough can have a big impact on our
cognitive function, mental health and how we process emotions. For tips on sleep,
check out our sleep advice and information guide.

D. Tips for a safe and enjoyable travel or holiday

To have a safe and wonderful travel or holiday, I have some tips for you below.

Firstly, stay safe and healthy as you travel. It will be bad if your body is tired; it will
make the travel boring and wasteful. Good health is essential for traveling.

Secondly, prepare basic belongings, and you don't need to bring too much because we
can buy them at the tourist destination. Remember that particular documents are very
important, so don't forget to pack your luggage carefully to protect them.

Thirdly, train yourself in psychological policies to deal with possible travel delays and
cancellations. Stay calm and prepare a more perfect plan.

Fourthly, each place you travel to has its own culture and customs, so respect and
integrate with that place. There is nothing more interesting than experiencing and
learning the culture and customs of each area.

Finally, make the most of your travel experience. After several days of immersing
yourself in work, you will also have the opportunity to rest and spend time with family
and friends. So you don't waste them; use that time to generate several beautiful
memories.

III. CONCLUSION

To summarize, the presentation includes four main issues. The significance of travel and
the holiday season are discussed in the beginning. The presentation then goes on to
suggest other holiday and travel options, along with their benefits and drawbacks. It
additionally gives detailed guidelines for organizing a successful trip. Finally, the
presentation offers some advice on how to have a fun and safe trip or holiday.

In essence, travel isn’t just about reaching a destination; it’s about the journey itself—the
experiences, the people, and the growth. Travel and holidays hold immense significance
in our lives, enriching us in various ways. Whether it's a weekend getaway, a backpacking
adventure, or a luxurious vacation, each journey will enrich your life in ways you never
thought possible. Remember, the world is vast and full of wonders waiting to be
discovered. So pack your bags, embrace the unknown, and let the magic of travel unfold!
