Colligative Properties of Solution First Meeting

No. Question Solution
1. What is the molarity and molality
value of 80 grams of solid NaOH
(Mr = 40) dissolved in 772 grams of
water, it is known that the density of
the solution = 2.13 gr/mL!

2. A total of 300 grams of urea

(CO(NH2)2) dissolved in 2 L of
solution. If it is known that Ar C =
12, H = 1, N = 14, O = 16 and the
density of the solution is 1.05
gr/mL. Determine molarity,
molality, mole fraction of the solute
and the mass percent of the solute!

3. Calculate the molality and mole

fraction of the 10% CaCO3 solution!

4. The mole fraction of the urea

CO(NH2)2 solution is 0,4. Calculate
the mass percent and molality of
urea in the solution! (Ar C = 12, H =

5. The molality of NaOH in an
aqueous solution is 2 molal.
Calculate the mole fraction and
mass percent of NaOH in the
solution! (Ar Na = 23, O = 16, H =
1)

6. A solution is made by mixing two

solution.

grams solution
Solution II : 20% of glucose in 90
gram solution
Calculate the molality of the
solution.
