What PABRON COUGH is used
for
PABRON COUGH aids
expectoration by reducing mucus
thickness, and therefore loosens and
clears phlegm and relieve cough.
How PABRON COUGH works
PABRON COUGH preparation is
alcohol-free and sugar free.
Carbocisteine is a mucolytic. It
alters the structure of mucus and
decreases its thickness in order to
facilitate its removal by
expectoration.
Ask your pharmacist or doctor if
you have any questions about this
medicine.
Before you use PABRON
COUGH
-When you must not use it
Do not take PABRON COUGH:
 if you are allergic to Carbocisteine
or other ingredients in this
preparation.
 If you have active gastric or
duodenal ulcers.
-Before you start to use it
Tell your pharmacist or doctor:
Pregnancy and breast feeding:
 Safe use of Carbocisteine during
pregnancy and lactation has not
been established.
 Ask your doctor or pharmacist for
advice before taking this medicine
if you are pregnant or breast-
feeding.
-Taking other medicines
Tell your pharmacist or doctor if
you are taking any other products
(such as over the counter medicines,
prescribed medicines and herbal
products).
During treatment, do not take any
cough medicine or any medicine
which dries airway secretion.
How to use PABRON COUGH
-How much to use
Adults & Children Above 15
years:
15ml
Do not give this medicine to
children under 2 years of age.
-When to use it
To be taken three times daily or as
directed by your doctor or
pharmacist.
-How long to use it
Continue taking PABRON COUGH
for as long as your doctor
recommends.
-If you forget to use it
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as
you remember. If it is near the time
of the next dose, skip the missed
dose and resume your usual dosing
schedule. Do not double the dose to
catch up.
-If you use too much (overdose)
If you take too much of this
medicine, consult your doctor or
pharmacist. Bring any remaining
medicine with you.
While you are using PABRON
COUGH
-Things you must do
If you are about to start taking on
any other new medicine, tell your
pharmacist or doctor that you are
taking PABRON COUGH.

-Things you must not do
Do not take more than the
recommended dose unless your
doctor tells you to.
Do not give PABRON COUGH to
anyone else, even if they have the
same symptoms or condition as you.
-Things to be careful of
This medicine may affect your
ability to drive or use machines. If
the tablets make you feel sick, dizzy
or tired, or give you a headache, do
not drive or use machines and
contact your doctor immediately.
Side effects
PABRON COUGH may have
unwanted side effects in some
people. All medicines can have side
effects. Sometimes they are serious,
most of the time they are not.
Stop using this medication and tell
your doctor immediately if any of
these side effects occur: nausea,
gastric discomfort, gastrointestinal
bleeding and skin rash.

other effects not listed above,
contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Dispose the medicine after the
expiry date.
Consult your pharmacist on how to
safely dispose of any medicines no

Product description
-What it looks like
PABRON COUGH is a brown
coloured syrup with lemon mint
flavor, available in 60ml, 90ml,
100ml and 120ml PET amber bottle.
Ingredients
-Active ingredient:
Each 5ml syrup contains 250mg of
Carbocisteine.
-Inactive ingredients:
Methyl Hydroxybenzoate, Liquid
Caramel, Sorbitol 70%, Propylene
Glycol, Flavour Lemon Essence,
Menthol, Sodium Hydroxide and
Purified Water.
