Biography

Pablo Rizo

Pablo Rizo is a pianist, keyboardist and

composer from Alicante. Currently based in
Rotterdam, he has recorded and played in
several projects both in the Netherlands and
Spain.

At the age of 18 he started his studies at the

Conservatorio de Música "Joaquín Rodrigo" in
Valencia, where he spent three years learning
from teachers such as Kontxi Lorente, Jesús
Santandreu or Joan Soler. During these years he
became involved in the jazz scene in Valencia
and especially with the younger musicians, which
led to the formation of the band Screaming
Pillows, where he collaborated with Valencian
emerging players such as Juan Saus, Xavi
Maldonado or Roque Garcia.

He has recently nished his studies at the prestigious Codarts school in Rotterdam,
where he has had the opportunity to learn from Dutch musicians such as Joost Patocka,
Stefan Lievestro or Jarmö Hoogendijk. He has also received masterclasses from
renowned musicians such as Larry Goldings, Henry Hey, Miles Okazaki or Genevieve
Artadi.

As a producer he is involved in the American hip hop scene, having collaborated with
artists like Sam Borello, Jason Faust or Mike Casey. With Casey they have achieved with
their single Breathe In one million plays on Spotify and have been on Spotify's best jazz
songs list during June and July 2022.

Rizo is currently researching on how to bring jazz and electronic music together in his
own music, with the intention of combining his two passions: playing jazz and sound
designing.
