1. How do you usually spend your free time?


Describe some activities you do in your free time and state benefits you get from these
activities.

2. Do you often stay up until midnight? What are consequences of staying up


late?

I usually stay up quite late. I have a nocturnal lifestyle, all of my meals are delayed by
3-4 hours compared to the norm, and I go to sleep at 3 a.m. I understand that there are
some health risks such as weight gain, heart disease, diabetes, and even stroke that
come with such a schedule, but I’ve been following it for so long, I can’t really change
it anymore.

3. How much time do you spend outdoors a month? If your town/city has some
money to make people’s lives healthier, can you suggest some ways?
Answer the first question and suggest some ways to make people’s lives healthier

When having some time to spare, I just find it absolutely amazing to breathe in some
fresh air at the park. I do think it is a good way to recharge my battery after long
working hours. When it comes to outdoor activities, I must say playing sports and
going on picnics are my favorites. We often hang out at the weekends at the

park within walking distance from my home and enjoy each other’s company. I really
love to spend quality time with my friends and family members on a nice, sunny day
out.
If my town has some money to make people’s lives healthier, I think cycle paths are a
good idea because cycling is good for people’s health and good for the environment.

4. What medical problems can you have? What should you do when you have
these problems?

I’m usually quite healthy. I’ve never been seriously ill. Like everyone else I sometimes
get a few aches and pains or catch a cold. When I don’t feel well, I often go to bed or
take medicine or pills. Sometimes I have to have time off work with a heavy cold. I
have the usual symptoms: a blocked nose, a sore throat. These symptoms last quite a
while, about a few days or a week. I am often over the worst of it after a few days and
go back to work. I always find that it’s better to be active when I feel ill.

5. What can people do to stay healthy?

Sample answer:
I try to stay healthy by eating a well-balanced, low-fat diet with lots of fruits,
vegetables, and whole grains. Thereafter, I workout for a minimum of 40 minutes and
meditate for 20 minutes. It is important for everyone to focus on their fitness level to
stay healthy. For me, the easiest way is to exercise on a daily basis. It only helps me
keep fit but also reduces my stress level. Moreover, I also have regular check-ups
every year to avoid major health problems.
