JUDICIAL AFFIDAVIT

I, Canello Alvarez, of legal age, married, and residing at Lot 64, Eroreco
Subdivision, Bacolod City, the defendant in this case, state under oath as
follows:

PRELIMINARY STATEMENT

The person examining me is Atty. Micheal D. Tyson, with office address

at Triangle Island Plaza, Lopez Jaena Street, Bacolod City. The examination is
being held in the same office address. I am answering his questions fully
conscious that I do so under oath and may face criminal liability for false
testimony and perjury.
This Judicial Affidavit of Canello Alvarez is executed to serve as his
direct testimony in the present case.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1. Q: Please state your name and other personal circumstances for the
record.
A: My name is Canello Alvarez, a Filipino, 28-years-old, and a
professional boxer. I am single and I reside in Lot 64, Eroreco
Subdivision, Bacolod City.

2. Q: Do you know the plaintiff Ryan Garcia personally?

A: Yes, sir.

3. Q: How did you meet Mr. Garcia?

 A: On September 3, 2023, my friend, Mr. Manny Packer, introduced me
to him at the Golden Glove Gymnasium after I fought a match event.

4. Q: What did Mr. Ryan Garcia say to you after your introduction?
A: He said that he owned the RG Boxing Gym in Brgy. Banago, Bacolod
City, and that he wanted to sponsor me because he felt thrilled watching
me fight.

5. Q: Did you accept the proposition?

A: Yes, sir.

6. Q: What did Mr. Ryan Garcia do after your acceptance?

A: He told his secretary to take my contact number so that we can have a
meeting to sort out the stipulations of the sponsorship agreement.

7. Q: When did the meeting occur?

A: On September 6, 2023, about 10 in the morning.

8. Q: Where was the meeting held?

A: In Bob’s Café, Lacson Street, Bacolod City.

9. Q: What was the terms of the sponsorship?

A: RG Boxing Gym will accommodate, for free, my stay in Ayala Capitol
Condominium, food expense, and gym training. In exchange, I will
represent their gym and wear their logo on my shorts during matches.
The contract shall expire in 12 months, and may be renewed.

10. Q: Did you sign to accept the sponsorship agreement there and then?
A: Yes, sir.

11. Q: Did Mr. Ryan Garcia also signed the sponsorship agreement?
A: Yes, sir.

12. Q: When was your next match after the sponsorship?

A: On November 12, 2023.

13. Q: What was the result of the match?

A: I lost by knockout in the 6th round.

14. Q: What did Mr. Ryan Garcia do after you lost?

A: He angrily yelled at me in the locker room of the Golden Glove
Gymnasium and warned me not to lose in the next match, otherwise,
they will revoke the sponsorship and charge me for the expenses.

 A: February 14, 2024.

16. Q: What was the result of this match?

A: I lost by a split decision.

17. Q: What was your professional record at that time?

A: 20 wins, 0 draws, and 2 loses.

18. Q: What did Mr. Ryan Garcia do after your 2nd loss?
A: His secretary informed me that Mr. Ryan Garcia wants to cancel my
sponsorship and I should move out immediately of the condominium
unit they had provided me.

19. Q: What did you do after this demand?

A: I packed my stuff and move back to my house in Eroreco Subdivision.
