Fundamentals of Faith III

4TH QUARTER
CULMINATING PERFORMANCE TASK

Memento Vivere (Remember to Live)

Goal The sacramental liturgy brings into the present our special memory of
Christ's Paschal Mystery and urges us to commit to our baptismal calling
of making Christ present wherever we are. Similarly, the culmination of
our academic experience calls us to commit to our Thomasian graduate
attributes of servant-leadership in the family, the local and global
communities, the Church, and the environment. Thus, you and your
classmates will create a class Yearbook that will make you remember (and
bring into the present) your religious commitment of being the “salt” and
“light” of the world (cf. Matthew 5:13-16) wherever life leads you.
Role As yourself (personal/individual), in close collaboration with your
classmates and FF3 teacher (communal/collaborative).
Audience SHS community, especially batch 2024 graduates
You are to document the highlights of your Christian initiation experience.
Situation As you are expected to graduate by the end of the school year, you and
your classmates will collaborate on a yearbook that annotates your
sacramental experiences.
*Non-Catholics may refer to their own religious initiation (i.e., the
Baptism equivalent for Muslims is Aqiqah).

Procedure
1. The class officers* will serve as the editorial committee heads of the
yearbook. They are free to designate amongst themselves the following
roles**:
● managing editor, copywriter/copyeditor, designer, layout editor,
and yearbook publisher

2.** The designer will develop an overall design of the yearbook and a
template for the student submissions. He/she may create a template where
his/her classmates can easily place photos and the sacraments of initiation
information.
3.** The copywriter will provide short captions for the photos especially
in the collage, and other parts of the yearbook needing captions. The
copyeditor will improve the captions for clarity, accuracy, and style. The
copyeditor will also ensure that the texts of the yearbook have been
proofread properly.
4.** The managing editor will create a timeline and a Google Drive to
serve as a destination bin for the student entries. He/she will check the
submissions and remind those students who have not yet complied.
5. **Once the entries are complete, the layout editor will compile all
submissions into one yearbook. He/she will work closely with the
designer.
6. **The yearbook publisher will have the yearbook printed in
HARDBOUND and GLOSSY pages and will submit it to his/her FF3
teacher on or before May 3, 2024.
