COLOR WHEEL

The color wheel, depicted in a circular format, is a valuable tool across multiple disciplines,
including art, design, fashion, and interior decoration. It facilitates comprehension of color
relationships, aids in color mixing, and assists in creating cohesive color schemes.
The traditional color wheel consists of primary, secondary, and tertiary colors:
Primary Colors: These are the three colors that are considered fundamental because they
cannot be created by mixing other colors. The primary colors are red, blue, and yellow.

Secondary Colors: These colors are created by mixing equal parts of two primary colors. The
secondary colors are green (created by mixing blue and yellow), orange (created by mixing red
and yellow), and purple (created by mixing red and blue).
Tertiary Colors: These colors are created by mixing a primary color with a neighboring secondary
color. There are six tertiary colors, which include red-orange, yellow-orange, yellow-green, blue-
green, blue-violet, and red-violet.
