“Sex Myths: It’s The Man’s Responsibility to buy condoms.”

Condoms are very important before engaging sex, condoms are 98 percent affective at preventing
pregnancy for female and getting STI. There are lots of articles about this topic, before I proceed in
reading the article my immediate response for this is all of us are responsible or capable of buying
condoms, especially if you are a sexually active person. As a woman, especially those who are married,
they can buy condoms for their husband.
I have read that when it comes to heterosexual couples, it is the man’s responsibility to buy a
condom. There are reasons why it is a man’s responsibility to buy condoms, for example, they might have
a favorite condom brand or not want to risk their partner forgetting to buy it. But it is better for all to be
responsible in buying condoms, it is important to become prepared if you’re thinking of having sex. There
might be a possibility that your partner might not want to have sex and then change their minds on the
latter part and if you assume that they’re going to buy condoms and then they don’t, you could be faced
with a very unfortunate choice.
You might have to choose between having unprotected sex and regretting doing it or not having
sex at all. When it comes to women buying condoms, there are lots who are embarrassed or be reluctant
in buying since there is also a sex myth that a woman who carries a condom is a “slut” or a “tramp”. On
the contrary, there are no set of rules who needs to buy or bring safer sex supplies like condoms. In
theory, if it’s an awareness for all on how to prevent pregnancy and/or STI, then it is a responsibility for
all to do things to prevent those cases.
To sum up, it is a responsibility for everyone who are sexually active or planning to have sex to
be prepared to protect themselves and their partners. For the women who don’t want to buy condom
because they are embarrassed or afraid of what the society might talk about them, there are options. There
are some companies who are now making fashion-forward condoms just in case appearances are more
important than taking care of your health. If you are embarrassed to buy in an actual store, you can order
condoms online. All of us are responsible in taking care of and protecting ourselves.
