Pattern
Let's start!

(The number you will see in parentheses behind the instructions is the number of stitches
you will have at the end of the row)

Petal 1 - (make 3)

Row 1: Magic ring 6 sc

Row 2: 6 inc (12)

Row 3: 1 sc - 1 inc (18)

Row 4: 2 sc - 1 inc (24)

Row 5: 3 sc - 1 inc (30p)

1/10
Row 6: 4 sc - 1 inc (36 st)

Row 7: 36 sc

We can do 1 sl st and secure with 1 knot or secure with 1 knot directly. The knot part will be
hidden when we glue the petals.

Petal 2 (make 3)

Row 1: Magic ring 6 sc

Row 2: 6 inc (12)

Row 3: 1 sc - 1 inc (18)

Row 4: 2 sc - 1 inc (24)

Row 5: 3 sc - 1 inc (30)

Row 6: 4 sc - 1 inc (36)

Row 7: 5 sc - 1 inc (42)

Row 8: 6 sc - 1 inc - 1 chain x 5. Finish making 7 sc. Don't forget to secure with 1 knot after
cutting the yarn.

Petal 3 (make 3)

Row 1: Magic ring 6 sc

Row 2: 6 inc (12)

Row 3: 1 sc - 1 inc (18)

Row 4: 2 sc - 1 inc (24)

Row 5: 3 sc - 1 inc (30)

Row 6: 4 sc - 1 inc (36)

Row 7: 5 sc - 1 inc (42)

2/10
Row 8: 6 sc - 1 inc (48)

Row 9: 3 sc - 1 inc - 1 chain x 9. Finish making 8 sc and secure with 1 knot.

Glue the petals to the stick

To glue the petals to the stick I use a silicone gun.

The half of the petal has to be glued to the stick and the knot part will be placed at the
bottom.

We have to roll it up as if it was a little roll. we glue all the "Petals 1", then we continue with
the "Petals 2" and finish with the "Petals 3".

Stretch the fabric gently so that it is compact and without looseness. Cut the excess strands
if any of them are too long.

How to make the leaves

(in the video tutorial that you can access from the top of the page, you can see the step by
step at minute 18:24 in case you find it easier to follow)

Make a chain of 9 stitches, avoiding that the stitches are loose.

Make 1 double crochet in the chain nº6 and continue with another double crochet in the next
chain.

Make 1 half double crochet in the next two chains.

3/10
Make 1 sc in the last two chains.

On the last single crochet that we have just knitted we make 2 chains and 1 slip stitch in the
first chain.

Now we are going to knit the other part of the chain going back to the beginning .

We begin by making 1 sc in the first two stitches, in the photo below you can see where the
first stitch begins. (in this photo below I hadn't made the slip stitch in the first chain yet)

At the end of the two sc, make 1 half double crochet in the next two stitches.

Continue with 1 double crochet in the last 2 stitches

Finish by making 2 chain stitches and knit 1 slip stitch, in the last stitch of the holes formed in
the center along the length of the sheet.

4/10
Continue making 1 increase on the first chain we made. If you pay attention, I don't insert the
hook through the big hole, I do it to the left of the stitch, taking advantage of the small hole.

If you can't see this hole well, you can also increase by taking the back loop of the stitch.

In the next stitch, we make another increase.

Continue with 7 sc, make 2 chain stitches, 1 slip stitch in the first chain

Continue with 7 sc and 1 increase in the last two stitches, as we did at the beginning.
Finish with 1 slip stitch and cut yarn.

Hide the strand behind the leaf and secure with 1 knot. Pass the yarn carefully so that it does
not show on the front part of the leaf. Trim the threads at the end.

Make the chalice

Row 1: Magic ring 6 sc. Don't close the ring too much because the wooden stick will go
inside.

Row 2: 6 sc

5/10
Before continue, make sure that the stick you are going to use fits through the hole

Row 3: 6 sc

Row 4: 6 inc (12)

Row 5: 1 sc - 1 inc (18p)

Row 6: 18 sc

4 sc, make a chain and turn

Make 1 increase in the first stitch, continue making 1 sc in the next 2 stitches. Finish by
making another increase in the last stitch, one chain and turn

6 sc, chain and turn

Repeat 6 sc one chain and turn

5 sc starting with the 2nd stitch, 1 chain and turn

4 sc, starting at 2nd stitch, 1 chain and turn

3 sc, starting at 2nd stitch,1 chain and turn

1 decrease starting at 2nd stitch. Decrease by picking up the front of the last 2 stitches. Cut
the thread and secure with 1 knot.

Hide the thread with the help of the crochet hook be careful that the thread doesn't show on
the outside when hiding it

6/10
Second leave of the chalice

For the second leaf, we insert the crochet hook in the next stitch pick up the yarn and pass it
through the loop then make 1 sc in the same stitch

This will be the 1st stitch, make 4 more stitches to have 5 stitches in total. As I knit, I pick up
the yarn at the beginning to hide it. At the end I make a chain and turn

Make 1 inc - 3 sc - 1 inc - chain and turn (7p)

Make 7 sc - chain and turn

Repeat 7 sc - chain and turn

Make 6 sc at 2nd stitch, chain and turn

Make 5 sc starting at 2nd stitch, chain and turn

Make 4 sc starting at 2nd stitch, chain and turn

Make 3 sc starting at 2nd stitch, chain and turn

Make 1 dec beginning at 2nd stitch

Cut thread and secure with 1 knot.

Now make a leaf of 4 sc, like the first leaf we made. The last leaf will be of 5 sc, like the one
we just made.

7/10
Place the chalice

For the base, I will use the silicone gun. I like some leaves to cover the relief between two
petals

Place the leaves

Cut a piece of thin wire, cut this piece in half and twist a couple of times so that they
intertwine. They will move a little, but then when we put the thread on they will stay fixed.

Cover it with the thread. We can help ourselves with a bit of instant glue. It is very good
because it is less bulky than silicone when it is applied, but it can obscure the thread, so it is
better not to use it on parts that will not remain visible. Don't line the part of the wire that will
be attached to the stick.

8/10
At the height you want to place the leaves, put them on and tighten the thread while lining all
the way to the end. You can also secure the wire to the stick with a bit of glue before lining,
wait for it to dry and continue lining. I don't recommend using a silicone gun because it is
more bulky than using instant glue.

Secure them with instant glue or with the silicone gun at the end.

Glue the leaves to the wire

I put the leaves with instant glue. Two glue drops are sufficient. Silicone gun also sticks well,
but the glue remains very visible underneath the leaf.
