W05 Gospel Connection: Building Trust

and Journal 1
1. How do you see yourself adding value to your family, community, or church unit
as a result of what you are learning at BYU-Idaho? What do you think the Lord
expects you to contribute? Set goals, describe ways in which you hope to add
value.

a. I see that as a result of what I learned at BYU-IDAHO, adding value

builds trust with my family, my church, community. The more I help
them through my knowledge, content, and resources, the more they
trust me and the more brand equity I build. This will eventually warm
them up to me, my brand, products, or services.

b. b. The lord expects to me contribute with the fruit of spirit. In

Galatians 5:22-23 says, “…the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-
control.

2. What problems do I see in my family, community, or church? How can I go

about finding a solution? What role does prayer and scripture study play? What
else can I do?

I can see in my country DRC, we are victim of a war imposed on us

by the international community finally to loot, and steal our minerals
(gold, cobalt, copper, aluminum, diamond…). This war lasted more
than 22 years until today more than 12 million deaths in DRC. I think
solution form this injustice war can finish through payer. I can make
this prayer for my people; our father at times, I see the suffering in
the world, and I overwhelmed. I turn to you looking for signs of hope.
I entrust to you the population of Congo. Those who suffer from
famine, from injustice, and those who have fled their homes because
of the conflicts.

3. What have I learned? How can I be better prepared for heaven's help? What decisions am I trying to make,
and how can I apply D&C 9 & Elder Scott? What difference could that make in my life? In my circle of
influence?
I learned how to ask in faith, with confidence in God.

In order to prepare my heart to receive from God, I must acknowledge every good thing that is
already in me, because of Jesus and return to the joy of your salvation. "...that the sharing of my
faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in me in Christ
Jesus." (Philemon 1:6). I am trying to make the right decisions, the different is I will make good
decision makers which are intellectually honest, proactively plugging
information gaps with external knowledge and respecting their peers' input.
Bad decision makers fail to seek outside information to better their decisions,
resulting in ill-informed, half-baked conclusions. Yes, I reflect honesty and
integrity in everything I do. integrity in business enhances your
reputation — which can help attract and retain customers, engender
employee loyalty and become a more attractive investment
proposition. Business integrity is strongly correlated with financial
performance.
