medications. After that, I spent 15 minutes scrolling through my Instagram feeds, before finally
getting out of bed.

I used my smartphone to check what time my bus would be leaving on the MOOVIE app while I
was eating breakfast. I responded to some messages about the group work assigned for the next
day.

I started working on my laptop as soon as I arrived at College. I spent the next two hours writing
reports and participating in virtual classes via Zoom.

spending more time than planned watching random videos.

the Canva app to shape aesthetics and prepare presentations.

30 minutes browsing and ended up purchasing a couple of items.

During the bus ride, I used my smartphone several times to check news newspapers and choose
the songs playing on my Air Pods.

the following week.

After bathing, I browsed social media on my smartphone in bed. Suddenly I realized it was late
and I hung up the phone to try to sleep.
My Reflection

Technology undeniably plays a significant role in my time, and in my routine. It works as both a
useful tool and a distraction and potentially the reason for my time drain. For example, my
smartphone served as an alarm, communication device, source of entertainment and even a
mobility and guide platform. However, there were times when this turned into a distraction, like
when I spent more time than intended on social media or watched videos during breaks, when I
could have finished those tasks much faster without it. These distractions sometimes make me
feel a little guilty or unproductive.

Overall, the influence of technology in my time was both essential and harmful. This has
significantly shaped my activities, mood, and productivity levels. It's clear that finding a balance
between using technology as a tool and avoiding its tricks and vices is crucial to maintaining a
healthy and fulfilling lifestyle.
