 Goals
These modules aim to provide:
• Basic elements on Asset Integrity, Maintenance Engineering and
HSE that are necessary to face daily activities in any sector of
Oil&Gas industry and qualitative tools for quick decision making
(for all students);
• Deep knowledge in RAMS quantitative tools and Maintenance
optimisation, to support the design and management of
maintenance and safety (for Prod&Drill students)
 Rules for these modules
• This module is made of lectures, exercises in class and seminars
• Teachers are from Polito, ENI and other Companies working in oil&gas and
other technical businesses
• Slides are available for download in the didactic portal
• All the Teachers’ communications will be sent by the didactic portal,
please check periodically your Polito e-mail.

 Rules for exams
Two written test:
• The first, including the contents of the 3 modules of the period, at the end of Period
V on the 18th of March 14:00 – 16:00
• The second , including the contents of the 2 modules of the period, at the end of
Period VII on the 6th of June 9.00 -11.00
The written tests are made of open and closed questions.
During written test you cannot communicate in any way with other people.
Oral exam can be done on request: oral exam consists in the execution of
two exercises similar to those made during the written test. Each exercises
value is 1 point if correct and -2 points if wrong. So the final mark can
increase of maximum 2 marks and decrease of maximum 4 marks. Oral
exam is planned just to mitigate particular “incidents”, not for extensive
application.

• Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) and Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment (FERA) (Portè)
• Characterisation of dangerous products and accidental phenomena (Uggenti)
• Asset Integrity Management (Ballocco & Colasanto)
• Maintenance Management and new perspectives (Tarasco)
• Predictive/On Condition Maintenance (Perotti)
• How all these topics are applied in ENI (ENI experts)

PAY ATTENTION: lecture of 21st of May is anticipated to the 20th, lecture of the 3rd of June is postponed to the 5th.
