File are saved with the following folders and drive: Desktop, Downloads, Documents,
Pictures, Music, G:\ and Videos
10. List the steps required to create and rename folder directories on your computer.

Open the “File Explorer” application in the taskbar
Select Drive or existing folder that you want to save this new folder under

computer.
Two ways to access and view the folder structure on a computer are through the file
explorer application or by using command-line interfaces such as Command Prompt
or Terminal
12. Explain the procedure required to move a file or folder from one directory structure to
another.
To move a file or folder from one directory structure to another, you typically open
the file explorer, navigate to the source directory containing the file or folder, right-
click on it, select "Cut" or "Copy," navigate to the destination directory, right-click,
and select "Paste.”
13. What is the name of the Windows browsing tool that allows a user to search drives for
specific files?
The Windows browsing tool that allows a user to search drives for specific files is
called "File Explorer" or "Windows Explorer."
14. Explain how you would retrieve files after they had been deleted?
Files can be retrieved after being deleted by checking the Recycle Bin and restoring
them from there. If they are not in the Recycle Bin, specialized data recovery software
can be used to attempt to recover the deleted files from the storage device.
15. Outline the process to copy files from your computer to a removable disk or external
drive.
To copy files from a computer to a removable disk or external drive, you connect the
disk to the computer, open File Explorer, navigate to the files you want to copy, right-
click on them, select "Copy," navigate to the removable disk or external drive, right-
click, and select "Paste."
16. Why might it be necessary to format a disk before it can have data copied onto it?
It might be necessary to format a disk before copying data onto it to prepare the disk
for use with a specific file system, remove any existing data or partitions, and ensure
