Narrative Report Pvmgo
Narrative Report Pvmgo
To update and conform the Philosophy, Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (PVMGO) of Saint
Louis School (SLS) to the PVMGO of the Diocese of Bayombong Educational System (DBES), the
Louisian Faculty and Staff convened at the Audio-Visual Room for a 2-day seminar-workshop last October
26-27, 2023 to revisit the school’s PVMGO.
Primarily, the revisiting aims to attune the SLS PVMGO to the DBES PVMGO to ensure that the
school is aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the Diocese and to help create a sense of unity and
purpose among the different institutions in the diocese. This also guarantees that the school is providing a
high-quality Catholic education that is aligned with the needs of the community and the diocese that will
eventually motivate and inspire the learners, employees and other stakeholders to work towards common
goals.
Facilitated by Rev. Fr. Romulo C. Felix, PhD, SLS Director, and DBES Superintendent, the
procedure started with the presentation and the cascading of the DBES PVMGO. In his message, Fr.
Romulo, reminded everyone that the school’s PVMGO must be aligned with the DBES PVMGO since “we
belong to one system.”
Furthermore, he also discussed the steps in cascading and contextualizing PVMGO in the institution. After
the lecture, the teachers and staff were clustered according to their PAASU AREA grouping for a reflective
activity. This was the preliminary phase in revisiting of the school’s PVMGO. A chairperson was assigned
per area to note down the salient points and consolidate the ideas in the sharing of the different groups. The
chairpersons were composed of: Dr. Feliciano V. Malaque (School Principal), Mrs. Marissa G. Tiongson
(School Coordinator), Mrs. Mildred O. Culanag (School Treasurer), Mr. Allan C. Dela Cruz (Head, Christian
Living Department), Mr. John Albert C. Benasa (OSA Coordinator), Mrs. Virginia D. Ibarra (School
Registrar), Mr. Nhelmar R. Salazar (Research Moderator) and Frater Dominic Maria (Guidance
Coordinator).
After the group sharing, the area leaders presented the output and insights they had in their respective groups
through power point presentations. Dr. Feliciano V. Malaque and Mrs. Marissa G. Tiongson were
commissioned to consolidate the output of the different groups#

NARRATIVE REPORT: DELIBERATION & FINALIZATION OF THE SLS PVMGO
The steering committee composed of the Department Heads (Mrs. Amelyn C. Licodini, Mrs. Nelia S.
Castro, Mrs. Rosemarie D. Iglesias, Mr. Allan C. Dela Cruz, Mrs. Jessie C. Olog, Mrs. Teresita L. Lorete,
Mrs. Liwliwa C. Santos) and the PAASCU Area Chairpersons (Mr. Nhelmar R. Salazar, Mrs. Virginia D.
Ibarra, Mr. John Albert C. Benasa, Ftr. Dominic Maria) convened at the CIDS Office last January 19, 2024
purposely to deliberate and finalize the school’s PVMGO.
The workshop started at exactly 8:00 a.m. with a prayer led by Mr. Allan C. Dela Cruz. Facilitated by
Dr. Feliciano V. Malaque, the presentation of the Articulated Vision and Mission, Philosophy and
Consolidated Strategic Goals and Objectives started the day’s activity. He discussed to the group the process
in crafting the Vision and Mission, Philosophy, Goals and Objectives by highlighting the emergent terms and
synthesizing the different elements. He emphasized that crafting the School’s Philosophy, involves
articulating its fundamental beliefs, values and principles as well as Programs and Strategies. The Vision
Statement outlines the school’s long-term aspirations focusing on the elements such as Identity, Core Values,
Core Purpose and Desired Future. The Mission Statement focuses on the school’s Target, Internal
transformation, Programs and Services and the desired Core Competence. He further stressed that the
Vision and Mission statements must ensure alignment with the school’s core values, Philosophy, Goals and
Objectives.
After the lecture, the members of the team were clustered into three groups for a reflective activity.
A leader was assigned per group to consolidate the ideas of the members. After the group sharing, the
representatives reported the output and insights they had in their respective groups through power point
presentations. With the thorough deliberation and review on the presented output, the new PVMGO were
crafted.
