COMMITTEE ORIENTATION AND PRE SCREENING
OF PAPERS OF ATHLETES, COACH, ASSISTANT
COACHES AND CHAPERON

OBJECTIVES
The following are the specific objectives of the activity:
 To widely disseminate agendas on the issues and concerns of the

eligibility of athletes, coaches, assistant coaches, and chaperons of
Zone 6
 To inform the coaches and other participants for the Provincial meet
of the guidelines on the eligibility of Athletes in the division, regional
and Palarong Pambansa 2024
 To conduct pre-screening of the winning athletes, coaches, assistant
coaches, and chaperons of Sta. Cruz district in preparation for the
Provincial Meet 2024
PARTICIPANTS: Coaches, Asst. Coaches, Chaperons of Sta. Cruz District
RATIONALE
Sports are a broad category of competitive, skill-based, and rule-following

physical activities that are usually played in official venues. Sports are more than
just games; they're a path toward perseverance, self-improvement, and tenacity.
Playing sports encourages teammateship, self-control, and a never-ending quest for
greatness by pushing participants to go above and beyond their comfort zones.
The Division Sports Committee, along with the other committee leaders in
each district, is working diligently to screen and accredit members, including
student participants, coaches, assistant coaches, and others, in order to meet the
requirements for the Provincial Meet, which is quickly approaching.
Zambales National High School hosted a Division Screening and Accreditatio

n Members Orientation and Capacity Building on February 22, 2024.
Concerns were raised about issues and concerns related to sports, and all athletes,

coaches, assistant coaches, and chaperones were required to fulfill their requirem
ents in accordance with the Guidelines on the Eligibility of Athletes in the Division,
Regional, and Palarong Pambansa.
Midway through the meeting, SDS Jessie D. Ferrer gave everyone an

uplifting speech in which she advised DSAC members to teach players the
importance of integration through "SPORTMANSHIP," to be fair, and to ensure that
their paperwork is legitimate.
NARRATION OF ACCOMPLISHMENT
Engaging in sports not only showcases our individual skills and talents but
also fosters a sense of sportsmanship and camaraderie among us.
Zone 6 started the session at exactly 10:00 o’clock in the morning. The
purpose and objectives of this meeting are to widely disseminate agendas on the
issues and concerns of the eligibility of athletes, coaches, assistant coaches, and
chaperons of Sta. Cruz district and to inform the coaches and other participants of
the guidelines on the eligibility of Athletes in the Division, Regional and Palarong
Pambansa 2024.
Mr. Rogelio O. Ladiero being being the School SCreening Committee

Chairman, facilitated the orientation of coaches and prescreening of papers of
athletes and attended by the coaches, asst. coach and chaperon. Mr. Ladiero
discussed the issues and concerns of athletes, coaches, and the others for them to
be aware of. They were also informed with the guidelines so that they will not face
any circumstance ahead. “You should check, complete, and screen the reliability of
the papers and other requirements of the athletes, coaches, assistant coach, and
the chaperons before submitting to the screening committee” Ladiero reiterated.
Other concerns from the participants of the meeting were raised and
answered by the Chairman together with the MAPEH Head, Mr. Rogelio I. Besarra.
We have also called Mr. John Arex M. Ocampo, the DSAC Chairman over the phone
just to ask certain questions which were being raised by some coaches.

Before the orientation ended, Mr. Ladiero appointed Mr. Lawrence Jose as
the Vice Chairman and Mr. Joefer Sembrano as the Secretary doe the Zone 6
Screening Committee. Few reminders were given by Mr. Ladiero and Mr. Besarra
regarding the papers of the athletes, coaches, assistant coaches, and chaperons.
After the orientation, the prescreening process started quickly so as to check the
veracity of their documents. The screening committee found out minor issues.
Almost lunch time when we finished the said activity.
