SARS-CoV-2 popularly known as COVID-19 is a severe acute respiratory disease that

is now spreading throughout the world. It is a virus that causes usual to severe
respiratory complications like cough, colds, pneumonia, difficulty in breathing and other
respiratory diseases. It is a new strain of virus that was never seen on human body in
the past medical cases.

COVID 19 brings different symptoms to the body of the patient which are commonly
cough, colds, difficulty in breathing, and sore throat. Moreover, other patients show non-
respiratory related symptoms like diarrhea, fever, headache, and losing the ability to
taste and smell. However, other patients does not possess any symptoms which makes
it more difficult to determine if the patient needs to undergo swab test. They are called
asymptomatic patients.

Doctors can determine if a patient is positive of having the said virus through different
tests like swab test, PCR test, and antigen test. We can avoid acquiring this virus by
practicing social distancing, wearing face mask and shields, regular handwashing, and
maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
