Mankind: Changing the Environment, the Systems, the Earth

The increasing number of the human population is evident. According to the website
‘Population Matters’, there are nearly 7.9 billion people around the world. This number is big. Humans
carry a vital role in our environment – to protect and conserve the Earth. However, we’ve seen different
scenarios which contradicts the role of mankind.

People around the world has altered the systems of the Earth. Human activities, disappointingly,
has extremely affected the planet. Due to high number of populations, issues like pollution and
improper waste management are prevalent. These problems cause the systems, which are atmosphere,
geosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere, to not function that well unlike before. Global warming and
climate change are examples of changing world. Humans change the world in a terrible manner.
Negative effects can be observed everywhere.

Problems encountered today must serve as an eye opener to people and remind them that the
world we currently live in is dying. Using the intelligence of humans and creating a safe environment for
all species is what the world needs. Hoping there will come a time that humans can say that the world is
finally healing.
