Resources:
● A copy of a vocabulary table

Description of the activity


1. Introducing vocabulary
Discuss the vocabulary table with the students, ensuring they understand the
definitions.
Encourage them to use the words in sentences to reinforce understanding.

2. Group Formation
Divide the students into small groups of 3-4 members.

3. Assigning the subject


Assign each group a specific aspect of society and living standards to focus on. For
example, one group may discuss "Urbanization and Its Impact on Living Standards,"
while another group discusses "Social Inequality and Poverty."

4. Research and Preparation


Give each group time to research their assigned topic and prepare key points for the
debate. Encourage the use of the provided vocabulary.

5. Debate
Each group takes turns presenting their arguments and engaging in a debate with the
other groups.
Encourage the use of the vocabulary and ask open-ended questions to stimulate
discussion.

6. Reflection and Vocabulary Recap


After the debate, have a brief reflection session where each group shares their
insights.
Recap the key vocabulary used during the activity.
