Introduction

The internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the Standard
Internet protocol suit to serve billion of users worldwide. it is a network of networks that include
private , public business and government networks of local to global scope that are linked by a
broad array of electronic and optical networking technologies. These and other factors increase
adolescents Internet use tae day by day .increased use brings some problems with it the most
important of these is the “internet Addiction”. Adolescents’ belief and perception about
themselves reflect in their behavior characteristics when using the Internet.
By the advent of computer’s internet our earth has reduced and has attained the form of a global
village. Any kind of information on any topic under the sun is available on the internet. Student
and children are among the top users who surf internet for learning, entrainment and research.
Over 60% of people seeking treatment for internet Addiction Disorder (IAD) claim involvement
with sexual activities online which they consider inappropriate, such as excessive attention to
pornography or containing in explicit sexual online chats.
Internet provides a new communication medium that enables access to unlimited resource of
information across various topics. Internet Addiction is a worldwide problem and its gravity as
measured by various studies varies form from 05% to 40% depending on the type of population
studies methods adopted. This addiction can cause serious problems like loss of productivity at
work, poor academic result , headache , problems of eyes,poor interaction in relationships
leading to their failure.
