To Whom It May Concern:

I am happy to write a letter of recommendation for Laura Pham. I have had the honor of working
with Laura throughout her sophomore, junior and senior years at Nova Academy Early College
High School and in this time, I’ve gotten to know her quiet determination and leadership.

Laura has been in my Ambassador’s class since her sophomore year. In this class, we do some
group projects, community building, and professional development . Students are expected to
work in the community with businessmen and other professionals as well as parents of our
prospective and current students. I knew that for any project in which I needed student
volunteers, I could count on Laura to not only be there for me, but excel in her duties. Because
of the trust I developed in Laura, I encouraged her to take on a leadership role in Ambassadors
by her junior year. She excelled in this position as she set an example for other students to
follow. As a senior, Laura continues to be a leader both in and outside of the classroom while
also taking on AP classes.

I was also fortunate enough to have Laura in my AP US History class last year. Laura was a
leader in the class and a student I could rely on to provide inciteful answers to questions, make
connections between complex moments in history, and create projects that were examples that I
still use today. Laura is never one to do the minimum. Instead, she pushes herself to understand
the why’s of the events. Beyond these academic attributes, Laura was also a leader in the class.
She would help other students and push them toward success. I was thrilled, proud, but
unsurprised by her success.

I have had a lot of very good students come my way. Laura is among the top tier who I would
recommend for any program. Laura works hard every day. She faces challenges with
unwavering attention and follows through on the work that she needs to do. She does not accept
what is good enough, but puts his effort into growing with each assignment or challenge set
before her. I have extreme confidence that she will succeed in whatever venture she decides to
take on.
