Act 1: Review Will and Be
20’ going to
Step 1: Read the dialogue and
identify will & be going to
- T shows a slide of a dialogue
on screen
(Appendix 1)
- Choose randomly 2 students to
play roles. Other students have to
listen carefully and underline the
sentences with “will" and “be
going to"
Step 2: Elicit the difference
between will & be going to
- After that, Ss have to elicit the
context of using will and be
going to in a conversation
- Then T draw table about the
difference of will and be going to
on the board
- Ss note down
10’ Act 2: Work in pairs.
Interview your partners about
future events (Exercise 16,
OXS3, SB p69)
- T write the verbs in the box on
the board
- Ss throw sticky ball and have to
choose their partners to make
questions
