Impact of Covid-19 on the Buying Behavior of Accountancy, Business and

Management (ABM) Senior High School Students of the PUP

Statement of the Problem


The Covid-19 pandemic is a social factor influencing numerous changes in
consumer behavior. This study aims to determine the impact of Covid-19 on the
purchasing behavior changes of ABM Senior High School Students of the Polytechnic
University of the Philippines over the course of the pandemic.
Specifically, it seeks to answer the following questions:
1. What is the level of agreement of the ABM Senior High School Students with the
following variables impacting purchase decisions during the pandemic?
1.1 Product Appeal
1.2 Sales Promotion
1.3 Brand Image
1.4 Media Influencers

3. How strongly do the ABM Senior High School Students agree with the following
categories:
3.1 Number of shops visited after the lockdown
3.2 Increased in purchasing online
3.3 Buying goods from the local market
3.4 Purchasing of non-essential goods
3.5 Spending greater sums on needs than wants.
4. What is the level of satisfaction of ABM senior high school students with both the in-
person and online mode of buying in relation to the following components:
4.1 Delivery Time/Acquirement
4.2 Budget Friendliness
4.3 Product Quality
4.4 Product Variety
4.5 Seller’s Accommodation
5. Does Covid-19 have a significant effect on purchasing behavior of ABM Senior High
School students?
