Introduction:
MISTA, Marian Institute Students Association is a committee composed of elected
representatives who serve as the voice of the student body at MIM. The council aims to promote
the interests of students, foster a sense of community, and enhance the overall campus
experience.
Activities:
Over the past year, MISTA has undertaken several initiatives to achieve these goals. Some of the key
activities are as follows:

1. Holi and Women’s Day

Women’s Day Celebration:

gender equality for a healthy society.
The event aimed to create awareness about gender equality and empower women.
Holi Celebrations:
After the Women’s Day program, Holi celebrations were held.
Colorful festivities, music, and dance marked the joyful occasion.
Students and faculty came together to celebrate the spirit of unity and joy.
2. “Despedida" Farewell Program for Seniors (Batch 2021-2023)
On March 21, 2023, our student union organized a heartfelt farewell event, aptly named
"Despedida," to bid adieu to the graduating seniors of the 2021-2023 batch. The
occasion was filled with nostalgia, gratitude, and well-wishes for their future endeavors.

3. Aarambh 2023: Freshers Day Celebration
On July 24, 2023, our college welcomed the vibrant new batch of 2023-2025 with an
electrifying *Freshers Day* event named "Aarambh." The Marian indoor basketball
court served as the perfect stage for this memorable occasion.

flower petals formed intricate designs, symbolizing prosperity and unity.

3. Onam Vibes:

faculty joined in the festivities.

5. Teacher’s Day Celebration 2023

9. Sports Day 2024

Sports programs that took place from February 19 to February 30, 2024. These events
brought together enthusiastic participants from various batches, showcasing their skills
and competitive spirit:

1.Badminton:
Players engaged in fast-paced rallies, demonstrating agility and precision on the court.
The shuttlecocks flew, and the matches were intense.

2. Volleyball:
Teams bumped, set, and spiked their way to victory.
The sand court echoed with cheers and camaraderie.

3. Cricket:
The sound of leather on willow resonated as cricketers showcased their batting and
bowling prowess.
Spectators cheered for boundaries and wickets.

4.Table Tennis:
The ping-pong balls darted across the table, testing reflexes and strategy.
Quick exchanges and strategic shots were the order of the day.

5.Carroms:
Fingers flicked the striker, aiming for the pockets.
Carrom boards witnessed intense battles of angles and precision.

6. Chess
Minds clashed on the 64 squares, plotting moves and anticipating opponents.
The silent battles unfolded, with each move carrying weight.

7. Basketball:
Dribbles, passes, and slam dunks—basketball enthusiasts showcased their skills.
The court echoed with the rhythm of the game.

8. Throwball:
Girls and boys collaborated, aiming to score points by precise throws.
The net divided the teams, but the spirit of sportsmanship united them.

9.Penalty Shootout:
Goalkeepers dived, and shooters aimed for the corners.
Nerves of steel were required in these high-pressure moments.

10. Basketball Shootout:

Precision shots from different angles tested shooting accuracy.
Points were earned one basket at a time.
