NOTICE FOR UNFIT CANDIDATES- INSTRUCTIONS FOR Re-medical APPEAL

After being shortlisted for documents verification for the Level 1 post against CEN
01/2019, the candidates appeared for documents verification in the RRC office & other
Divisional offices of Western Railway which was followed by a medical examination at
Railway Hospital and dispensaries.
As per instructions contained in Railway Board’s letter no. 2014/H/S/B(Policy) dated
07.07.2017, the candidates who have been declared UNFIT may submit an appeal.

The procedure of appeal is as follows:

a)
An appeal should be submitted as per Annexure ‘A’
b) The candidate must produce a certificate from a Government/Private Doctor of the
specialty/specialties in which the candidate has been found unfit.

i) Such certificate should contain a note that the Government/Private specialist is fully
aware of the physical & visual standards set by the Railway for the particular medical
category, and that he is aware of the fact that the candidate has already been declared
unfit according to these standards during medical examination conducted by an
appropriate Medical Board comprising of three senior Railway Doctors appointed by the
Government in this regard.
ii) The certificates should bear the photograph and mark of identification of the
candidates duly attested by such a Government/Private Doctor, the issuing authority.
iii) Such an issuing authority shall also clearly mention its MCI/State Registration
Number.

(Certificate should be as per Annexure “ B “ enclosed)

c) To make an appeal, the appeal charges of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One thousand only)
should be paid through Demand Draft (DD)payable in favour of Chief Cashier, Western
Railway, HQ office, Churchgate, Mumbai400020 .Scanned copy of DD in PDF file to be
uploaded along with the appeal.
d) If the candidate is found FIT after re-medical examination then the DD submitted will be
returned to the candidate. In all other cases, this DD will be credited to Railway
Revenue.

e) Scanned copy of appeal should be sent in PDF file to email address

rrcwrdocs@gmail.com containing as per following:
i) Appeal as per Annexure A
ii) Medical certificate as Annexure B
iii) Demand draft
iv) Copy of acknowledgement received from Railway hospital / dispensaries.
v) Zerox copy of call letter
The appeal in original alongwith one set of zerox should also to be sent
through registered post/speed post to RRC at the following address:

Note:
a) Appeal has to be scanned and sent via email address mentioned above and the
originals & relevant documents with one set of zerox to be sent by registered
post/speed post to RRC.
b) Appeal complete in all respect shall be forwarded for consideration.
c) The decision of PCMD is final and binding
