QUESTION TAGS

Question tags follow a statement and a comma, and


are made of a verb + a subject pronoun.

We use question tags:

- To ask someone to agree with us.

We can all help, can’t we? (I think you agree.)

- To check our information to see if we are


correct.

There are only about half a million wild


elephants left, aren’t there? (I’m not sure if
this number is correct)

For the present simple,
If the statement is positive, the question tag is negative. statement question tag
