Windows 7-support MS Software Ver. 4.2 that is compatible with a wider variety of printers, compared to

<Ordering of the software>

Products Div. (Ref. No. EX-E-11-9).

Except for DL400, DL410, LP5000, LP2500 and SP2500, a system configuration the same as with MS
Ver. 3.1 is available.

<Notes regarding OS used in a system>
In a system including IC III (server), IC III (workstation) and FMPC, if any of them is replaced with
another PC due to malfunctioning, make sure to use a PC installed with Windows 7 as IC III (server).

For example, in a system including IC III (OS: Windows XP), FMPC (OS: Windows XP) and LP5700R,
if the FMPC malfunctions and a replacement is required, configure the system as follows.
Introduce a new PC (OS: Windows 7) to use it as IC III, and use the PC working as IC III until now as
FMPC.

Note: If different OS (e.g. Windows 7 and Windows XP) are mixed in a system, for a Windows
XP-installed PC such as IC III (workstation) and FMPC, install Basic Software V4.2 for
WindowsXP/2000/NT.
The installation CD for MS Ver. 3.1 cannot be used.

<Limitations in Windows 7-support version>
1. With SP500, below the Frontman screen, a part of another screen is visible. As this causes no problem,
use the software as is.

2. In a system including the SP1500, SP2000, and SP-3000, the following errors may occur.
W-1711: Cannot send the status information to the Imaging Controller.
Check the network connections.
W-1791: Reading of order information failed. Check if the network connection is properly done.
If either of them is displayed, install the patch software contained in the installer CD on IC III by following
the steps below.
(1) Turn on the IC III and hold the Ctrl key down before the MS Software starts (approx. 30 seconds until
the sand glass icon changes into the arrow icon).
(2) Start Explorer and double-click the following file in the CD drive.
(Here, N drive is used as an example.)
N:\EZ171\Network_Mode\network_mode.reg
(3) When the message is displayed, click [OK] to complete installation.
Note: To restore the previous status, double-click N:\EZ171\Network_Mode\org.reg again.

3. When creating a new print size, if a value in the range of 103 to 107 is set for the feed length, the actual
print feed length becomes 102 mm. The feed length setting of other than the above is correctly reflected.

4. When creating an exclusive print size for MS13, restart the IC III.

5. MS Ver. 4.0 or later does not support the data writing to a FUJICOLOR CD.

<Notes on installation>
1. The following two MS01 installer CDs are supplied for MS Ver. 4.2.

2. It is necessary to apply Windows 7 Service Pack 1 *1 and Hotfix *2 . Download them from the Microsoft
website and install them. Without them installed, a communication may fail between the IC III and the
scanner or printer/processor connected via IEEE1394 (FireWire).
Do not install any OS-dependent Service Pack or Hotfix not mentioned above, as they are not
supported.
