The monsters need your
help! Will you teach them
their hard „c‟ and soft „c‟
sounds? Please?

Fun at School
Teacher Directions: Print on cardstock, laminate, and
cut out the cards. There are 6 cards that have both the
soft and hard „c‟ sound.

Student Directions: Draw a card and read the word (or

look at the picture). Identify if “c” is making the hard
or the soft sound in the word. If you are right, keep
the card! Otherwise, put the card back at the bottom
of the deck. Watch out for the special cards that
make you lose a turn, or draw again!! Make up your
own cards to help the monsters learn their sounds!
