LET'S PLAY WITH WORDS

1. CHAIN: One of you says one verb and the other one must
say another, without repeating the previous verbs. When
somebody repeats a verb, takes too long to answer, or
provides a wrong answer, the game stops.
2. BOOGLE: Analyze the following board and look for verbs in
the past. Use this song to set a time limit.
3. Share the verbs you found with your classmates.
4. Classify the verbs using any category you want. For

._
example: verbs that depict visible actions (such as
"walk") vs verbs that show internal states (such as
"think")
a. Think about the structure of a sentence with these

rd
verbs. Are there any compulsory words or structures
attached?

● I saw (him)(yesterday).
● I met them at the station. / We met at the station.
he
● She said what?
● We waited FOR the bus.
● I thought ABOUT doing my homework.

5. IMPROVISING: Choose five verbs from your list. Give that

selection to your classmates, they have to make up a
ac

short story that includes all the verbs you chose.
