## Introduction
Citizenship training programs are designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes
necessary to become active and responsible citizens in their communities. While several studies have
explored the impact of various training programs on students' academic performance and social-emotional
development, the specific impact of citizenship training programs among grade 10 students at Bani
National High School remains underexplored. This literature review aims to synthesize existing research
findings on the impact of similar training programs in educational settings and identify potential gaps in
the literature that warrant further investigation.
In a similar vein, Parker et al. (2014) evaluated the impact of mindfulness education on elementary
school students through the Master Mind program. The results indicated positive outcomes related to
students' mental health and well-being, highlighting the potential of training programs to enhance students'
socio-emotional skills.
Furthermore, the study by Roux, Swartz, and Swart (2014) investigated the effect of an animal-assisted
reading program on the reading rate, accuracy, and comprehension of grade 3 students. The findings
demonstrated improvements in students' reading abilities, emphasizing the potential of innovative training
approaches to foster academic skill development.
