Silence

11:40 - Opening prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ,

open our eyes to the wonder of your presence
in the Eucharist, the great sacrament of your love.
Help us also to recognise your presence in Creation
and in everyone we meet.
We ask through Christ our Lord…. Amen

11:45 – Silent Adoration

11:55 – Scripture Reading: John 6: 41-51

The Jews murmured because Jesus had said, “I am the bread which comes from heaven.”
And they said, “This man is the son of Joseph, isn’t he? We know his father and mother. How can he say that he has
come from heaven?”
Jesus answered them, “Do not murmur among yourselves. No one can come to me unless he is drawn by the Father
who sent me; and I will raise him up on the last day. It has been written in the Prophets: They shall all be taught by
God.
So whoever listens and learns from the Father comes to me. For no one has seen the Father except the One who
comes from God; he has seen the Father.
Truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Though your ancestors ate the
manna in the desert, they died. But here you have the bread which comes from heaven, so that you may eat of it,
and not die.
I am the living bread which has come from heaven; whoever eats of this bread will live forever. The bread I shall give
is my flesh, and I will give it for the life of the world.”

12:10—Song – Be not Afraid

You shall cross the barren desert, but you shall not die of thirst.
You shall wander far in safety though you do not know the way.
You shall speak your words in foreign lands and all will understand.
You shall see the face of God and live.

Be not afraid.
I go before you always.
Come follow me, and
I will give you rest.

If you pass through raging waters in the sea, you shall not drown.
If you walk amid the burning flames, you shall not be harmed.
If you stand before the pow'r of hell and death is at your side, know that
I am with you through it all.

Be not afraid.
I go before you always.
Come follow me, and
I will give you rest.

Blessed are your poor, for the kingdom shall be theirs.

Blest are you that weep and mourn, for one day you shall laugh.
And if wicked men insult and hate you all because of me, blessed, blessed are you!

Be not afraid.
I go before you always.
Come follow me, and
I will give you rest.
