How we assess domestic

parcel charges

Items up to 5kg using Parcel Post

or Express Post satchels

All our Parcel Post and Express Post

satchels are part of Australia Post’s If It
Packs, It Posts packaging range. That means
when you use one to send an item up to 5kg,
you get a flat rate to send anywhere in
Australia based on the size of the packaging
and delivery speed you choose – not its
weight.

There are four packaging sizes, each with its

own flat rate. We’ve also added new Express
Post Parcel Boxes to our packaging range.

Simply !t your item in any of our Small,

Medium, Large or Extra Large satchels or
boxes, and you’ll pay the flat rate for that size
and delivery speed. As long as it’s under 5kg,
if you can pack it in, it posts.

Prices below include postage and packaging.

Some domestic parcel services have speci!c size and weight
restrictions. Please check the service for more details before
lodging your article. While Australia Post accepts articles of the
speci!ed size and weight for International posting, some countries
may have their own restriction on parcel sizes. Customers should
con!rm with the foreign postal agency if concerned.
2
For customers lodging to domestic destinations under contract
conditions the maximum parcel length is 113cm
3
Letters should not contain stiff objects such as bottle tops, pens,
items enclosed in a hard case, and so on. High-speed letter sorting
equipment could damage such objects, or the objects could
damage other articles. Different size & weight restrictions apply to
seasonal greeting cards, valid for postage between 1 November and
31 December. View domestic letter prices for more information.

Maximum weight and thickness differs for small Express Post
envelopes. For more information, visit our Express Post letters
