Position Description

POSITION TITLE: Radiation Oncology Medical Physics Registrar DIVISION: Cancer Services
REPORTS TO: Chief Medical Physicist DIRECT REPORTS: NA

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
 To participate as a member of the medical physics team to provide physics services relevant to the treatment of cancer patients using radiation.
 To undertake training, study and research to meet the requirements for the successful completion of the Australasian College of Physical Scientists in Engineering in Medicine
(ACPSEM) Training, Education and Accreditation Program (TEAP).

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA - SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:

ESSENTIAL:

 Undergraduate degree in physics/medical physics/engineering


 Enrolment in or ability to enrol in the ACPSEM Training, Education and Accreditation Program (TEAP)
 Australian citizenship or permanent residency
 Demonstrate strong personal initiative
 Willingness to work irregular hours/overtime as necessary

DESIRABLE:
 Post-graduate degree in medical physics
 Experience in radiation oncology
 Evidence of commitment to TEAP and a career in radiation oncology
 Demonstrated ability to produce work of a high professional standard
