Sketch

A sketch (ultimately from Greek - schedios, "done extempore) is a rapidly executed freehand drawing that is not intended as a finished work. A sketch may serve a number of purpose: it might record something that the artist sees, it might record or develop an idea for later use or it might be used as a quick way of graphically demonstrating an image, idea or principal. Sketching is generally a prescribed part of the studies of art students. The term "sketch" has most often been applied to graphic work executed in a dry media such as graphite pencil, charcoal or pastel. It may also apply to drawings executed in pen and ink, ballpoint pen, water colour and oil paint. The latter two are generally referred to as "water colour sketches" and "oil sketches". A sculptor might model three-dimensional sketches in clay or plasticine. Carlos D. Achondo Jr. Ii- Neptune Mrs. Lynn R. Prilles Adviser

Reflection
Among the three artworks that I have passed, sketch is the hardest part on making an artwork, why? Because I hate drawing. Maybe you can now see the result why I hate drawing. I hate it when it comes to the hand strokes and stretching, that is my weakness. But because that is my work, I can say that all works done by you are magnificent. At first, I thought drawing or sketching is only done on the subject MAPEH but my point of view is wrong. Geometry is not only aware of the shapes, line, formulas, and polygons, drawing too. Now, I have concluded that maam is right that geometry is an art. Many geometric concepts were used in making this form of art work. One of that are the lines in making the primary drawing, the circles inside the body of the drawn image, collinear lines that shares the same image or plane. And lastly the polygons.

Line Design
Line designs are created by connecting points on lines or curves with straight line segments. When carried out on cardboard with sewing needle and thread, the process is referred to as Curve Stitching or String Art.If the family of straight line segments that comprise a line design are generated by a particular mathematical rule, a classic mathematical curve will be outlined. Each of the line segments will be tangent to the curve in question. Mathematicians refer to the family of line segments as an envelope. By simulating the connection process on a computer, you can explore the different curves (or collection of curves) that can be generated and see what happens when the values of the variables associated with a mathematical rule are changed. Reflection
Since before, my father taught me how to sew my own dress or clothes. Now, its somewhat easy for me to stitch a line design because of my previous knowledge on sewing because sewing and stitching is just the same. Our line design now in second year has a big difference between the line designs that we made when we are in the first year. In first year we only made a line design with just the use of plain pen but now the level of difficulties has increased, we made a new design of a line design with the aid of a needle, thread and a piece of cloth, and its hard. Intersecting lines and coplanar lines are the concepts being used on making a line design using a thread. Now on making this kind of artwork it gives another proof that geometry is easy in the sense in its formulas used but difficult in the sense in making this kind of artwork.
