Excerpt from "The Pact of the By the Abrahams.

"

"Why did you come back, Hap?" Fee asked in a loud, husky voice.

"Why do you ask?"

"Because I want to know. What do you want here? What do you want to do to these people?"

"I want to help them."

"Why?"

"Because there are my people too."

"But what will you get out of it? What do you want from them?"

"I want to gain knowledge from them, Peter. I want to help them; I want to educate them. That's all I want.
Nothing else."

"There may not be many, many sweets."

"I know."

"Or have none you can take from them."

"I've told you I don't want to take anything from them."

"I've met educated men before, many sweets."

"I've told you the truth. Can't you understand that one wants to do good for people? Because they are your
people? We're all people, Peter."
