Workbook 4 – Common Interview Questions

Submitted by: Jose Francisco R. Udan BSA 4-2

Instructions: Answer the following question clearly and briefly.

1) Tell me about yourself.

A graduating student from Baliuag University, I have taken the degree of Bachelor of
Science in Accountancy. Throughout my years of study, I took it upon myself to always discover
and try new things, especially those I am passionate about. I have been honed as a student leader,
became an editor-in-chief in a school newspaper, an environment advocate, engaged in sports
and other academic and nonacademic activities. Being an only child, I became a ‘people-person’;
it became my way of interacting with the world. All of these leads me why I wanted to interview
with your company. It would be a great opportunity to advance the skills I just talked about, and
continue building my career and challenging myself to bring the best of me for this company.

2) What are your strengths and weaknesses?

The strength I believe most attributable to me is my ability to connect with people almost
instantaneously. I can always find something to talk about and make them be open to me; I am a
person with a thirst for knowledge; I always abide by the rules and make sure that every output I
make is up to the standards that is expected from me. The weakness that I believe that really has
an impact on me is that at times, I tend to do multiple things or projects simultaneously, which
leads me to lessen the amount of effort and energy I give to each of the projects.

3) How will you become an asset to the organization?

Through my communication and interpersonal skills, together with my perseverance and
dedication to lifelong learning, I would contribute my best efforts to the organization. I will
ensure that the years I have spent in my education as an accounting student would be of great
value to our customers and to the company as whole.

4) How do you see yourself five years from now?

Five years from now, I see myself as a stronger, more knowledgeable person than I am
now. I see myself grown mentally, spiritually and physically in pursuit of my purpose. Finally, I
see myself having made significant contributions in the company, thereby earning a firm place in
your organization.
