The graph below shows the consumption of fish and some different kinds of meat in a
European country between 1979 and 2004.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and making
comparisons where relevant.
(Write at least 150 words)

YOUR ANSWER
The line graph illustrates the amount of fish, chicken, beef, and lamb used weekly
per person in European country from 1979 to 2004.

Overall, over a period of 25 years, the consumption of fish in this European

country was always far less than meat. As for the trend of meat consumption,
chicken had raised to become the most eaten meat in 2004.

In 1979, beef was cited as the most favored kind of meat with above 200 grams per
person per week, which is three halves compared to the figures of the lamb.
Additionally, beef’s use reached its peak in 1984 with about 240 grams for each
person weekly. Since 1984, the figures for both beef and lamb had fluctuated
downwards and eventuated in 2004 with about 100 and 60 grams per person per
week.

According to the graph, people in this European country ate roughly 150 grams of
chicken and over 50 grams of fish in 1979. From 1979 to 2004, the fish’s statistics
gradually reduced to lower than 50 grams absorbed per capita every week when, in
contrast, the chicken rocketed to approximately 250 grams used weekly, becoming
the key meat product in 2004.

Spoken communication is more powerful than written communication. To what extent
do you agree or disagree?
(Write at least 250 words)

YOUR ANSWER
It is believed that oral communication is more effective than written
communication. In my opinion, deciding which one is more powerful than the
other depends on certain circumstances

Said words are preferable to written ones in situations that call for body language
and facial gestures. Dating is a great illustration of this. Setting up a face-to-face
meeting with the person we have feelings for is more crucial than staying in and
sending texts. The expression of many emotions during a dinner date via emotion
icons, images, or videos can never be a substitute for a genuine grin. Additionally,
discussing and meeting face-to-face with the individual we are speaking with
allows us to better comprehend them. When speaking face-to-face, we may quickly
determine a person's genuine emotions by observing their facial expressions and
hand gestures, but we cannot do that just by reading some written text.

However, I think that in terms of law and business, written communication is much
more important than spoken words. In court, for example, our words might count
for nothing if we do not have valid evidence, such as written documents, to support
our arguments. Speaking of business, it would be much quicker, more time-saving
and more convenient for a company to send emails regarding promotions and sales
to a group of targeted customers than to meet and talk with every one of them.

In conclusion, for the reasons mentioned above, it seems to me that spoken words
are more effective in situations when we need to use our gestures and show
emotions, while written communication is preferable in law and business.
