The semi-automated pottery workstation using control panel consists of a motor and
speed control system, a rotating plate, a sliding space for finished pots, clay container
and for water container. Speed control serves a significant feature for adjusting the
rotational speed of the pottery wheel, allowing artisans to achieve varying levels of
precision and control during the shaping process. The sliding space for finished pots
serve as a designated area where completed pottery pieces can be temporarily stored
after they have been shaped. This sliding space can accommodate 18 pieces of small
pots. This pottery workstation combines manual and automated processes to enhance
efficiency and precision in pottery production.
4.2 Identification of Controls
Identification of controls includes the controls used in the operation of the
workstation. Below are the controls necessary that are used to operate: (Kabilang sa
Nasa ibaba
ang mga control na kinakailangan upang gumana:)
a. On-off control – enables the worker to start and stop the machine’s operation.
b. Speed Control – allows the worker to adjust the speed of the pottery wheel.
4.3 Machine Operation Instructions
The instructions for operating the machine are detailed in this section, essential for
providing operators with the necessary knowledge on how to correctly utilize the
workstation. Adhering to these instructions will ensure the safety of the worker. The
operation instructions for the workstation are outlined as follows: (Ang mga tagubilin
sumusunod:)

a. Plug in the workstation to a proper power source then press the power button to
activate the workstation. (Isaksak ang workstation sa tamang power source
pagkatapos pinduting ang power button upang gumana ang workstation.)
b. Place the appropriate amount of clay on the pottery wheel according to the
desired size of the creation.

c. Use the speed control to set the desired rotation speed of the pottery wheel.
wheel.)
d. Shape and mold the clay using your hands as per the desired design. (Hulmahin

e. When finished shaping, set the rotation to the zero-speed setting. (Kapag tapos
5. Maintenance Instructions

5.1 General
Ensuring proper maintenance is essential for personnel safety, smooth equipment
operation, and prolonged performance. Regular maintenance is necessary for each
machine or equipment to ensure equipment safety, achieve optimal output, and prevent
costly downtime. Neglecting to follow proper maintenance procedures outlined in the
manual can result in unsafe conditions and reduce the machine’s lifespan.

5.2 Maintenance Schedules

To prevent defects and to preserve the integrity of the workstation, qualified
personnel will need to conduct weekly maintenance checks. A well scheduled
maintenance will ensure the workstation is running efficiently, effectively, and safely,
and guarantee their operation for years to come. The different parts of the workstation
will be checked up right after use and weekly to ensure its functionality and safety.
nito.)
